Great for document management
LordBootleBum
I'm using Keep It for managing my college study materials for lectures and tutorials. I've tried all of the "notes" based apps, but I find this one is more flexible to build the hierarchical structure that I need. It's proved fast an reliable in the last 6 months, no problems at all. There are a few UI features that would be useful, for example the ability to colour folders in lists for clarity. It would also be useful to be able to do a manual sort of the documents so that I could have the frequently used ones at the top (although there is a perfectly satisfactory workaround). I would also prefer that when you open a document it opened in a separate window, because on my small MacBook Air it would give me a bit more screen real estate to see lists, folders and files that have longer filenames. Probably a little out of scope but an inbuilt to-do list would be useful. Sync with Keep It on iPad Pro and iPhone 11 has been useful and reliable. All-in-all, I highly recommend Keep It over some of the best known brand apps.
One huge advantage
stephenbrammer
Without going into details Keepit has many of the feature you expect from a document management tool. I particularly like there are muliple ways to organise documents, either physically in a folder or virtually with bundles and tags. The one big advantage is that all documents are stored in icloud and not in a document database. This combined with an excellent export tool means you have no risk of been locked into a system and find it hard to move to another platform in the future.
Powerful and simple information storage
PedroFromAus
Very easy to use; reliable and powerful enough for simple to moderate storage and retrieval for all types of media. I am using this daily and it is continually being improved. Support is also very responsive if you need it.
Not so happy
ricardo from downunder
To be honest, I would love to love this app, it seems so promissing but why on earth I'm required to create an account just to try it??!!I've got it through tyhe AppStore, isn't it enough for testing it?I can't accept, well perhaps everyone else does, this account setups? Why can you design the application without being so aggresivew in farming all the details? Remember - I'm only testing!Gosh, I wish this app would be great, it looks great, it might be great ...but there is only so much I can give out
Developer Response
Hello, Keep It doesn't require that you create an account to use it. If you choose to use iCloud, then you would have to log into iCloud in System Settings, but Keep It can be used without. If this doesn't help, please send a support request by choosing Help > Keep It Support from the menu, then click Get In Touch. Thanks.
