I have used quite a few software tools to assist my writing. Some too simple, some over-complex. StoryPlanner walks that fine balance between providing the write with good functions and recording functions, without locking you in to one particular Theory of Story. Combine the MacOS app with the iOS/iPadOS version of this app and you have a highly portable and flexible writing tool. I have spent today loading up my current working projects and the clarity of the App allowed me to spot a couple of things that would need to change. Finding them early saves multiplying a problem. There is one thing I would like to see included:1. Props or Objects : In the same vein as Locations, being able to record create and assign Props or Objects would be handy. (Mrs Peacock is in the Library but has she got the Candlestick?)A 'Nice to Have' option would be to be able to import a Chapter / Scene outline as text. You can work around this by creating one or more Story Templates as Stories in the App. Overall score: full points for both MacOS and iPadOS/iOS apps. Well done guys and thank you.

like genuinely, this app is genuinely so invaluable to me, words simply cannot express how much i love it. i had one miniscule suggestion (which, honestly, is so minor and specific, and would just be a useful tool to have) that perhaps a feature within the scene breakdown section of a project (and bare with me as this is going to be kind of confusing to explain without visuals) that functioned the way heading 1 / heading 2 / etc function in breaking down text — so, you could have, for example, "parts" (the "heading 1" in this scenario) which then broke down into "chapters" (the heading 2), which in turn broke down into "scenes" (the "heading three"). it's honestly so minor and not incredibly pressing or anything, but, as someone who's planning a series, it would be really really helpful to be able to break up the individual books within one single project.anyway, yeah, tl;dr incredible app! genuinely so so helpful. thank you for this gift to humanity.

After being in contact with the developers, waiting for the desktop version to become available, I was extremely disappointed to find it will not run on El Capitan OS.Why…? It is not a rocket science app… I have it upstairs on my newer Mac, my iPhone 6+ and my really old… old… iPad…Now I have to update a computer downstairs…? I think not…I cannot see why the need for a recent OS is required…Scrivener works fine across all my systems, and it is a whole lot of bang… What gives…?The bulk of my work is on this old Mac, which works for me… I have no real need to change… Can we have to app ported so it works on an older OS please…?Would have given it five stars… but I can’t use it… across the board… sorry...

We're sorry you're disappointed. We'll check it to see if we can make the app compatible with older version of MacOS.
