Logbook & Mileage - Magica
Vehicle Log Book & Car Reports
Free · In-App Purchases
Track every trip automatically, keep 100% of your data on your iPhone, and export an ATO-ready logbook at tax time. One private app for your whole car.
Magica — Automatic Mileage Tracker & Complete Car Companion. It records every trip on its own, looks after your whole vehicle, and keeps 100% of your data on your iPhone.
Magica turns your iPhone into a kilometre tracker that also handles the rest of your car: fuel and EV charging, servicing, rego and renewals, costs. One app, not three — and everything stays on your device.
RECORDS EVERY TRIP ON ITS OWN
Forget manual logbooks. Magica detects your trips automatically and records distance, route, cost, tolls and more. Classify each trip with a single swipe — Work, Personal, or your own categories.
- Automatic detection via motion and Bluetooth — no constant GPS battery drain
- Auto Switch: Magica recognises which vehicle you're driving
- Merge split trips back into one clean route
- CarPlay, voice actions and Shortcuts to log on the go
- Instant PDF & CSV export
TURN KILOMETRES INTO TAX DEDUCTIONS
Every work kilometre can be money back. Magica separates work from personal automatically and keeps an ATO-ready record for your tax return — ready for either the logbook method or the cents-per-kilometre method, with your business-use percentage worked out for you.
- ATO-ready reports, exportable as PDF or CSV
- Custom categories with deductible percentages
- Cost-per-kilometre and expense totals always up to date
MANAGES YOUR WHOLE VEHICLE
Beyond kilometres, Magica is a full motoring assistant.
- Fuel and EV charging log with automatic consumption and cost
- Charging-station map
- Reminders for insurance, rego, servicing and roadworthy, with full history
- Unlimited garage: cars, motorbikes, utes, vans — as many vehicles as you own
- Find My Car, toll tracking, weather per trip, Baby-on-board alert
- Widgets, Live Activities and Dynamic Island
YOUR DATA IS TRULY YOURS
Magica has no cloud and no account. Everything lives on your iPhone — nothing synced to a company, nothing mined. And your data stays usable: export it for your accountant, or connect it to your favourite AI or CRM through the built-in API and MCP server, entirely on your terms.
MADE BY ONE PERSON, SINCE 2018
I'm Dimitri. I've built and looked after Magica on my own since 2018, kept it updated with every version of iOS, and I answer every support email myself. A lot of what's inside was asked for by someone who wrote to me — Magica grows with the people who use it. Featured by Apple: Apps We Love, App of the Week, Made in Italy.
WHO IT'S FOR
- Sole traders and small businesses maximising deductions
- Tradies and contractors billing kilometres to clients
- Rideshare and delivery drivers tracking every work trip
- Anyone who wants their car's whole life — trips, costs, upkeep — in one private place

more Still testing but changing my review. I have used a few of these trackers, last one was “Drivers Note” and they were highly expensive and decided to again increase their yearly price. My car uses CarPlay so does not track a trip via Bluetooth and this is the first app that works with CarPlay and so far has been great, even has a widget for the CarPlay stereo! The cost is good, all the options appear to be there and importantly, it just offers reliable simple tracking of trips for tax without a stupidly high cost. Will be investing in the lifetime sub if it keeps working as it has.
Developer Response Thank you very much! 🙏If you need more info or have feedbacks to share do not hesitate to write me at support email!
