The pro version coder academy is a crucial consideration and one you shouldn’t hesitate on. The depth and complexity is well paced for beginner courses and you won’t find a UX/UI design anywhere that is quite like this. It’s been really great to self pace learning and be able to stop and take multiple quizzes and access a community forum. Heaps of value. Heaps of learning.
Not for complete beginners

I started the Python course and after the first module on ‘hello world’ it goes into ‘control flow’ with explanations that are not tailored for beginners. After a few slides it’s straight into practice with tests that are definitely not for beginners. There’s this assumption built into the course that you would know more which is odd. I thought this was an app to learn programming from scratch but apparently not. There are you tube videos that do a better job of teaching to beginners. Watch a bunch of those videos then maybe come back to this app or another.Lastly for an app that teaches programming it is mind blowing the developers can’t even develop a suitable version for iPad. Not everyone wants to learn programming on a tiny phone screen. Just weird.

The app is good but it doesn’t feel as easy to get to the next lesson in your path as the website as on the website. The next lesson is right there and you just have to press continue learning or resume path but on the app you have to go into the path and remember what you were learning and then press on that. Aside from that the app is great.
