HOW IT WORKS
Web Video Cast™ is a browser, which allows you to stream videos of movies, TV shows, and other media from the internet to a streaming device or smart tv. Web Video Caster grabs the video URL inside the web page, sends it to the streaming device (i.e. Chromecast or DLNA device), and then plays the video directly from the content provider. This ultimately saves your mobile device’s battery. It also detects subtitles on the web page. Web Video Cast™ does not host these videos. This is not a mirroring app.
GET STARTED
Follow these simple step-by-step instructions to start streaming:
1. Find a video online that you want to watch.
2. Make sure this video can play on mobile browsers without Flash.
3. Connect to your streaming device.
4. Play the video as you normally would. Or, click the play button on the toolbar.

LIMITATIONS & DISCLOSURES
As with all apps, there are some limitations we are aware of and want you to know about up front.
• We are in no way associated with any web media providers and we do not have control over the content they provide.
• Web Video Caster does not support nor play Flash or FLV videos.
• The app does not support tab casting, like the Chromecast extension for the PC web browser.
• We cannot do anything to fix issues that arise on the server side (media content provider) such as failure to play or buffering, which is especially common during heavy load times and weekends.

Possibly the only one that truly does what it says without asking you to pay a subscription for every basic little feature. There are popup ads of course but they are acceptable when an app is great, which this one definitely is, in my opinion. I’ve used a lot of other video casting apps that not only have a crapy user interface but bluntly refuse to even offer any feature without paying, or stamp a huge (opaque) watermark on the video, or stop casting the video after a few mins, or enforce some other restriction.This app not only has most of what you would need to cast and play for free, but also something that is extremely smart and handy - you can separately download subtitle files (.SRT) and load them while the movie is playing and the app also has an option to adjust the subtitle timing if they are out of sync with the video! All this without having to pay a penny.I guess I might even try the full version.

I needed a way to get my uni lectures (embedded in a webpage) to show up on my TCL TV. Unlike most apps these days, this one does what it says on the tin, is easy to use, ACTUALLY WORKS, functions properly even in the free version, has fairly unobtrusive ads and perhaps most importantly, premium is a fair one-off cost and NOT a subscription! I was actually happy with the free version but decided to buy premium just to support the developer, because there really aren’t many apps left like this! P.S. to the developer, I kept getting ads for other apps/sites that seemed like direct competition to your own (screen casters) - maybe something to watch out for.

I've had issues with streaming Rugby Union, AIHL, NHL, and a bunch of other things both in their native AppleTV apps and AirPlaying from laptops, phones & ipads to the AppleTV. In most cases, I've eventually tried them from WVC, and it's worked perfectly. Better quality than I get from AirPlaying too. WVC has allowed me to watch a lot of things on my TV that I wouldn't otherwise because others can't write their apps properly. WVC is now a must-have for me, and my go-to method for various sports that should be watchable natively.

Tried many ways to cast from my phone to the tv via chrome cast but the movies/websites I wanted to cast didn’t have a cast button. Tried several apps & they either didn’t work or they wanted a huge subscription fee! This app worked instantly by searching the websites I wanted within the app! I’m soooo happy with this app!
