Normally never write reviews but this app definitely deserves my time … this is a musicians dream saving hours upon hours of time .. also the access to so many types of files and the extremely fast analysis of chords in all possible positions for a multitude of instruments is a game changer .. wished I had this as a teen learning guitar .. only thing I found that was causing issues was the lyric translation which defaulted to Thai every time and switching it to English would crash the app .. not sure if this is a setting on my phone however .. all in all this is the only app you need on your phone if you want to find chords for songs or even if you’ve forgotten chords you’ve played on a recording session years ago . This will read most files .. Just love this app .. saved me so many times !!

I have never bothered to write a review or leave a star rating for any app before - until now. This app does everything it says it does in a user friendly way, I will be upgrading to the pro version simply to support the developer for their efforts.
Playback issues and increase in wrong chords

Playing a song in chord ai is becoming ridiculous, it just sits there kicking and farting, very frustrating. Also I’ve noticed that the number of incorrect chords the app are saying is in the song has increased from when I first downloaded the app. Is this to encourage people to buy the paid version or will the paid version still pick the same incorrect chords? Three weeks ago I loved this app, since then with the errors in chords now making some songs unusable and the trouble I’m having trying to playback songs has turned it from an app that I would definitely pay for to use the extra options into an app that will be deleted. Before I delete it, is there a chance that you know of these issues and are working on fixing them with the next update?

a closer look during the 3 days free trial, I realised that music memos (& chord ai) are missing some essential ingredients that would make it very very good.1: separation algorithm is a great idea, but it does not work very well - does not pick out the individual bass notes from double bass or bass guitar2: the modes for bass separation / guitar does not give you individual notes from the bass line, just bass chords - that’s not how most bass players are thinking3. No melody line & just blocks of chords in the exported pdf - whilst useful for strumming guitarists, etc, the hinted developments on music notation, & the bass / melody Lines would make a great improvement. Modified rating as it does do the basics

• Rebuilt lyrics editing: dragging segments across lines now works properly, neighbours move out of the way, and undo is immediate and repeatable
• Editing is much faster, with no progress overlay after every change
• “Paste your own lyrics” is now available on far more iPhones — it was hidden on most devices by mistake

• Apple Music: the app now analyzes the song you picked, instead of another track from your library
• Opus .m4a files (for example from Suno) now import
• Lock screen: correct play/pause state, proper artwork, and playback pauses on calls
• Fixed crashes around the metronome, chord decoding and smart capo
