Why did you do this?

I played this game a lot last year and before that! I loved it! But with one of the updates in the past couple months, it entirely reset me! I never even deleted the app. I tried to get back to where I was before (lvl 100<) but I was so annoyed by the constant tutorial that the whole update made it unplayable for me. Why did you have to reset old accounts?

The main game has become the bonus stage with no rewards

It’s cute and the main game style pretty unique but Every update makes this game worse, you can tell from team engagement that interest has fallen hard.

all added content is now almost exclusively from a ridiculously expensive, long wait time delivery system with extremely low odds. Also the most recent update has removed the most convenient way to lvl up Pokémon to lvl 20 disappear in favour of repeating Pokémon and single coin to a shop that has nothing of value.

a quick cooking challenge for free Pokémon and rewards, provided you enjoy repeating the exact same strategy over and over and over and over 100s of times (no not exaggerating). Which also cuts and limits progress especially early on.

Master cafe is worthless (the game after the main stages are completed) max of 15 points (60 games no benefits past that) each time the main game gets an update (once or twice per month). Considering the cheapest thing in that shop is 20 points you can see why it’s a longstanding effort, pokemon costumes at 150 points at the least and the shop hasn’t had an update since before the remix update, it’s a pointless grind. Not even the most effective way to lvl up.

I can say a lot more but honestly at this point I’m just playing to keep at max lvl, in case the game improves.

Psychological Manipulative Gambling

This game is psychological manipulative Gambling disguised as a game. Where once cheat codes were a fun free part of a game, now you are made to delay yourself hours or days in order to satisfy even a basic accomplishment beyond the introductory phase of the game. I spent $30 on in-game purchases not just to give myself an advantage in the game but to support the creator who took the time and resources to make this game for Pokémon fans. Instead I see that my $30 contribution wasn’t enough to make it beyond 2 hours of progression. If humans lived for 1,000 years and patience and mental resources were unlimited, games like this would have a place in the world, but since they don’t, games like this serve as frustration generators and the setting stone of future gambling addicts who are having their patience and impulse control manipulated in a way that keeps more and more simple game satisfaction moments behind bigger and bigger pay walls or time walls. Buy your kid a normal Pokémon game and do NOT allow them to purchase in-game real-money based objects.
