## The Best Focus Timer Apps
FocusPomo is a Pomodoro-based time management app with a minimal and beautiful design, powerful features, and a rewarding sense of progress.
Our mission is to improve and protect your attention. That’s why we don’t simply pile on features, and we don’t use addictive game-like rewards. FocusPomo is built to help you focus on one thing at a time.
## When you may need FocusPomo
1. You work hard, but still don’t feel real progress
2. Your study or work efficiency feels low
3. You get distracted easily and want to reduce procrastination
4. Important things keep getting delayed
5. You want to become more disciplined
6. You want different parts of your life to gradually get better
7. You have many things you want to do, but keep making slow progress
## FocusPomo Core Features
1. Real-time sync across all platforms. Sync through iCloud across Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, so your focus data always stays up to date.
2. A simple and easy-to-use focus timer. No flashy design, no complicated distractions. Everything is designed for a better focus experience.
3. Cute little tomatoes that make focus feel rewarding. Every completed Pomodoro gives you a cute little tomato. Your tomatoes accumulate each week, making effort more visible without turning focus into a distracting game. Tomatoes also support motion response and haptic feedback (motion response is currently supported on iOS only).
4. Powerful focus statistics. View focus trends, Pomodoro insights, and detailed data across different tasks and time ranges.
5. Calendar timeline. Reflection helps you improve. View your focus time distribution by one day, two-day comparison, or one week.
6. Optimized for iPad and Mac large screens. View more useful information and enjoy a focus experience designed for larger screens.
7. Mac support. View timer status, focus task, and today’s focus data from the menu bar. Start, pause, or end focus sessions without opening the app.
8. Apple Watch App that works independently. No iPhone needed. Start a timer, create or edit focus tasks, and manage focus directly on Apple Watch.
## FocusPomo Design Philosophy
1. Focus. We don’t build an all-in-one product. We focus on time management and help make your effort truly pay off.
2. Simplicity. Simplicity is not the goal. It is the result. Every feature and detail is carefully researched, considered, and refined.
3. Warmth. FocusPomo hopes to become a small quiet space for you, staying with you through your effort, focus, and growth.

I’m a university student currently doing my third year, and when I tell you I have tried every focus app on the planet I’ve really tried all of them. What excited me about other apps really blinded me to their lack of functionality. This app trumps them all with no hesitation, it has been the only one that I have used consistently and actually excites me to complete my work (and I am a MASSIVE procrastinator, even in my third year of uni). I have used it now for a year and have been convinced to purchase the premium version — and I really don’t subscribe to things if they haven’t fully convinced me. But this app accomplishes so much more than a simple timer. The minimalist but cute design, and also the fact that its run by developers that have the user in mind by allowing the necessary features to be free. I am really blown away! Another point is the simple encouragement it offers you, the functions are all there and wonderfully designed. It just delights you in ways other apps don’t. And it’s refreshing to find an app that isn’t overwhelming or overstimulating, that constantly pesters you to buy another version. This app has been associated in my mind with serenity and calmness — exactly what i want when i need to study. Anyway! Super impressed and excited to see what other updates the developers come up with!! Keep up the awesome work <333
Would love a visual timer! But otherwise Fun and useful, great design

Updating my original review to add a Feature request: I would love for this app to have an option for the timer to be visual. Like a “time timer”, where you can see a visual block getting small around a clock face. Other apps that do this really well are “Ultimate Focus” (simple and clean) and “Session” (quite complicated and too many stats to worry about; but also great that you choose for a finished to session to keep reminding you (for those of us who struggle to take breaks). Other than this I still love the simplicity of this app and the cute factor and the gentle sound effects. Original review: I’ve been using various timers both digital and physical for pomodoro sessions for years now. Focus Pomo is the best! It rocks because: • it is *simple* - no over complicated and anxiety inducing “statistics”, just adorable tomatoes that roll around the screen • the visual design is calming and the sounds, even in the free version, are excellent - clear, pleasant, and audible over other things (like music) without being offensive. The included ambient rain is a perfect loop and very high quality audio. • swiping up down left or right to get to settings changes is clever - leaves the interface all clear. • orange colour theme is excellent. • tomatoes are encouraging as are the occasional notes written in the app. There are only two things I wish it would do, that I sometimes use other apps (session, time timer) for: • have a visual timer as an option instead of just numbers - for those of use who are time blind, this would be so helpful • have a persistent alarm option after sessions and or breaks - if I get stuck in hyperfocus I can keep working for three hours after the first session without realising it. It is possible either of these may be in the paid version which I have not tried - update I tried the full version trial and could not find these features.
I never pay for subscriptions- but this one is worth it

I genuinely could not recommend this app more. I am currently completing my final year of highschool and doing my HSC (final exams that determine my uni options) and this app has helped me so much. after using the free version for a few months, I decided to spend my own money to get a years worth of FocusPomoPLUS and I am so glad I did. I use it everyday, and I have a deep emotional connection to my little tomato friends. I especially enjoy the stopwatch feature, which motivates me to keep working, as well as the focus timeline, which is super helpful for visualizing what i have already done and what i need to do more of. My only wish would be a way to see all of my pomodoros (of all time, not just a week) but aside from that i genuinely could not be happier with this incredible app. When I say download it- I mean it.

A simple idea, flawlessly executed.
Best study app IMO.
I wanted to write this review as a way to show appreciation to the development and design team behind this app, as it really is brilliant. The app is based off of something so simple and silly, yet so perfectly executed that it is my go-to study app while getting through university. You essentially just start a timer, and if you complete your study—or whatever it is you’re doing—the little tomato that you have created as a result will pop up on the home screen. But it gets better. As you continue to put the work in—making bigger tomatoes for bigger sessions—your homepage will eventually be flooded by reminders of your hard work, giving you the momentum to keep on going.I can’t speak on the premium features, as I’m incredibly broke and in no financial spot to subscribe at the moment, but this app really is an example of a simple concept with perfect execution.Well done and thank you to the team behind my favourite focus app for university. You’ve made something truly great, yet unfortunately the only way that I can repay you at the moment is with this review.Thanks. ❤️
