“I absolutely love Spirit Notes. When I’m in church, at a Bible study, or reflecting on my own, it makes capturing revelations effortless - verses drop in automatically, sermon audio is saved, and everything stays beautifully organised!” - Rachel
Spirit Notes is the original, purpose-built Christian note-taking app designed to support your faith journey every day. Keep every sermon, personal study, and small-group insight in one beautifully organised place. Express, organise, and share your walk with God - without juggling multiple apps.
Why Spirit Notes?
• Scripture Auto-complete:
Type “John 3:16” (or any scripture reference) and the full verse appears instantly, right inside your note. Choose from many trusted translations including - NIV, ESV, NKJV, MSG, ASV, NIrV, NLT, CSB, TPT and KJV - no copy-and-paste, no Wi-Fi required.
• Record + Write Together:
Capture high-quality audio and type notes in a single file. Stay present during the message and revisit every insight with ease afterward.
• Time-stamping:
As you take notes, Spirit Notes automatically saves the exact time in the recording with each point you write. Later, just tap the timestamp next to your point to jump back and re-listen to the exact moment it was said in the sermon. This makes it easy to revisit important insights without wasting time searching through the entire audio.
• Organise Effortlessly:
Quickly find notes with dedicated fields for preacher, sermon title, and more. Add tags to group by topic, and organise everything into notebooks for ministries, conferences, events, and beyond.
• Sharing:
Spirit Notes keeps your recordings, text, scriptures, images, and more together in one place. Easily share everything in a single link with friends or family. They can read your notes, listen to the recording, and even add their own thoughts. It’s the simplest way to stay connected and grow together.
• Custom Bible Reader:
Choose from dozens of fonts and unlimited colour themes. Tap any highlighted verse to view every note you’ve ever made on that passage - perfect for quick cross-reference during study.
• Works Completely Offline:
Spirit Notes is fully functional without an internet connection - perfect for retreats, mission trips, or places with limited service.
• Built for Christians, by Christians:
Every feature is thoughtfully designed to enhance your experience and help you grow in your faith.

Just used this app for the first time tonight at a creative team meeting and I love the recording function 😭 Just revisited my notes and it’s great!Either I don’t know how to take notes (lol) or whatever but every time I read back on my notes they don’t make sense because I was either writing something on the fly when a speaker was speaking or I was writing a thought that related to what he was saying however without the original statement it’s hard remember that point. All that to say that having time stamps of my notes while recording and being able to find scripture quickly is an absolute GAME CHANGER FOR ME. Able to concentrate on the actual message then just write my notes-on-the-fly the revisit and re-listen afterwards to really note down anything I might have missed. Excited to keep using this app for my notes and keen to see more translations added!
The dream app I didn’t know I needed

I am NOT great at taking notes mid sermons... I get very distracted with trying to get all the info on the page, my notes end up getting mixed up amongst other work and personal notes and so I find I never go back to them so they’re not much help in the end! This has literally changed the game for me. EVERYTHING I could need to be able to reference back, no recordings lost, no notes lost and so insanely helpful with the Bible verses automatically popping up.Thank you for creating this!

This is an awesome app. Previously during church or home groups when someone mentioned a scripture I would be busy looking it up and then wouldn’t have time to change apps to jot down a note about what was being said. This completely changes that. The relevant scripture just pops up and I stay focussed on what’s being said and growing from it. It’s easy to write a note based on that so I remember that actual point that was being made. The new bible reader is extending the app in an excellent direction. As I’m reading a passage I can link to every note that has referenced that verse to remember different contexts in which it’s been referred to and teachings based on it.Still early days and I’m excited to see where this continues to develop.

• Live Transcripts – Recordings are now transcribed privately on your device as you record or when you import them, so every word is there to read, search and tap to replay.
