I love this app! Perfect for getting down song ideas with chordal information and lyrics all in one spot. It’s also helped me a lot with being able to play with more complicated chord progressions, as I can play it back and hear how it sounds. Then record my idea over it! So cool! There’s some areas that are open for improvement - ie. not being able to rearrange parts of the songs by dragging them up or down - if you’re recording you have to record the whole track, and not pick a section to record (particularly annoying when doing BV’s. I also can’t find a way to backup my ideas, which does make me a bit nervous if the app ever died/crashed with all my song babies in there.But it’s seriously a fantastic app for getting an idea down in a fairly fleshed out, easy to use manner!

Slightly limited in a couple of ways but it’s so close to being perfect that I’d rather just enjoy what’s there than complain. It’s like having a very basic inexperienced band play whatever song ideas you come up with. They only have a dozen different sounds but it doesn’t matter. Its still awesome. You can arrange complete compositions and record yourself on multiple tracks. There’s also a cool interface for adding lyrics. And it’s just an awesomely stylized design as well. It all adds up to being as organic as you could expect to be on an app.

Good app however can be a bit finicky to use. Hi Customer Support, I’m having trouble not able to rearrange my structure… I’ve already made the chord progressions for verses, chorus and bridge but wanted to add an intro for 4 bars at the start. I can’t seem to be able to add a new chord progression section (I want to also add a melodic riff to it) and then drag it to the top of the song, it only stays down the bottom after the final chorus. I will have to delete the whole structure and start again just to make sure the intro will be at the start of the song - this is frustrating as I’ve already typed in all my lyrics. Also, it would be so great if this app could be available for use on slightly older Mac computers. Typing would be way easier on a computer. I have a 2017 iMac and 2018 MacBook Air and they don’t support the app.

Very clever how this app breaks down the elements of songwriting and provides the flexibility to be creative. Super handy being able to map out drum loops and instruments to bring an idea to life quickly. As a new app I have come across a minor bug or two, but the team have been very responsive. You can capture an idea with basic headphones, plus I’ve discovered I can record with my condenser microphone and audio interface if I want better quality vocal take. I’m all in👌
