FUJIFILM XApp is an app. provided by Fujifilm Corporation. Once users pair a Fujifilm digital camera with their smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth®, they can transfer captured images and movies to their smartphone or tablet, control the camera remotely, backup and restore camera settings, synchronize date, time, and location, and update firmware. The Wi-Fi function of smartphones or tablets is also used for transferring captured images and videos, and updating firmware. In addition, by signing in to Fujifilm's network service, daily shooting activities using the camera can be automatically summarized in a diary format. This service is useful for reviewing their photographic activities and improving their photographic skills. Much better than the old app

It would be great if the app wrote a bit to memory so you don’t have to scan through 2000 photos to download 2. Even in reverse order. Make it much quicker and efficient. I know it’s possible.

Unnecessary data requirements

NO.1 STARGATE FAN!
Most apps will ask for permission and if denied, not all features can be used - Fair enough.Fujifilm has taken a frustrating approach of requiring you to accept everything (notifications, location at ALL times, All photos and Bluetooth). If you say no to even ONE it completely locks you out of the app.I think the most concerning is allowing access to all photos.. Apple’s API’s don’t require access to all photos to download photos (I use plenty of apps that don’t need that permission to download photos) so not sure why Fujifilm requires this? Location, I’m not too concerned but I can understand why others would be, and it’s a massive drain on battery to require it even when the app is closed!! Lastly, the app itself is just okay. I also shoot with Canon cameras and their app is way better. Not sure if it’s a limitation of my XT-30, but my Canon cameras transfer photos (including RAW) way faster through the Canon app than my XT-30 through this Fuji X app.Very disappointed in the developers who made this app. They are either very inconsiderate and ignorant of users privacy needs, or downright data mining.

The application exhibits superior performance vis-a-vis its antecedent, the erstwhile Fujifilm application, particularly with respect to ease of connectivity and the integration of novel features such as film simulation and lens metric visualisation. However, the application's non-negotiable stance on continual location data accrual raises substantial apprehensions regarding potential violations of privacy, thereby contravening principles of proportionality embedded within data protection frameworks. In light of these observations, I submit that it is incumbent upon the application's development team to undertake immediate remedial action. Absent such rectifications, the continued utilisation of the application may indeed be subject to significant limitations.

Add Eye AF to XApp Remote Shooting

I love my Fujifilm X-H2, but I’m disappointed with the XApp’s remote shooting functionality for self-portraits. Unlike my Canon R5, which triggers Eye AF seamlessly via its app, the X-H2 doesn’t engage Eye AF when I press the shutter button in the XApp—it just snaps the photo without focusing. Enabling Pre-AF helps, but it wears out the lens motor and isn’t an ideal solution. I’d really appreciate an update to integrate Eye AF into the app’s shutter trigger, similar to Canon’s app, to make self-portraits easier and reduce wear on my gear. The XApp has potential, but this gap compared to competitors is frustrating
