NaviTruck is the heavy vehicle GPS that routes your B-double, semi or road train around low bridges, weight limits and roads you’re not allowed on. Enter height, weight, width and length once: every route is checked against them, with live re-routing if a restriction appears ahead. Real Australian restrictions — Montague Street in Melbourne, NorthConnex and Pennant Hills Road in Sydney, the Brisbane Markets weight limits.

Unless you agree to a subscription, you can’t even treat this app. I mean, you ca. open it but it has *zero* functionality unless you agree to a 3 day (3 day !) trial that will automatically become a $100+ annual subscription unless you remember to cancel it.The app might well be very good… I have no idea ! But the developers need to do one of two things to get me to try it:A) increase the trial period from 3 days to something sensibleOr B) allow a 3 day trial, but DONT make it automatically change to an expensive paid subscription.Its fair that they charge for what looks like a valuable app, but they need to be a bit less aggressive in pushing people to pay. Give users a chance to actually evaluate it, maybe charge $1 or so for the first week… something like that would be fair.As it stands I’m not going to risk forgetting to cancel and being out of pocket over $100.

Wrong directions in NSW to Byron Bay

I was so excited to use this app as it seemed to have everything we need except it gave me a bum steer from the M1 to Byron Bay seem to be in no man’s land and told me to go straight and then go left down a road that didn’t exist which resulted in a 34 minute backtrack so either the GPS is wrong or the road data is wrong; but the GPS showed I was still going down that wrong road and not on the M1 still

Big update: NaviTruck has a fresh new look.
• New design for the map, search, routing and navigation, in light and dark mode.
• Landscape: panels on the left, the map stays visible on the right.
• Search shows places in the visible map area, with Search in this area.
• Easier stops, route options and saved routes.
• Avoid roads works reliably.
• Guidance text: choose Standard or Large in Settings.
• More reliable GPS during navigation, without draining the battery.
