Actions For Obsidian integrates the personal knowledge management tool Obsidian with Apple's automation ecosystem. With 40+ Shortcuts actions, it brings your notes and automations together, making Obsidian a first-class citizen in Apple's Shortcuts app. Use it to bring information from other apps into your notes, or to bring information from your vaults into other apps.
Some of the possibilities it adds:
- Creating, manipulating, searching, opening, organizing notes, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly ones
- Working with files
- Working with Dataview
- Working with note properties
- Working with your vault's files and folders
- Working with Obsidian commands

Obsidian is a wonderful productivity tool, but the mobile app has major pain points in terms of always having to navigate between notes and vaults. Slow, cumbersome, and distracting compared to the desktop equivalent. Thankfully, this app lets you produce widgets and share sheet integrations in order to bring the efficiency of Obsidian into the mobile realm. Now I can immediately go from my Home Screen to my daily notes or a specific note I’m frequently using. I use this while travelling to open a list of phrases and currency conversion notes. It’s also possible to make a widget that brings up a menu of several frequently used notes, which lets me get to any of my current projects quickly from a single widget. You can so much more too, like selecting text in any app and appending it to different sections within a note. There’s tons of shortcut functions like this if you want to go deep. You will need to learn about iOS shortcuts to make this work, but it’s fairly straightforward as the app walks you through setup and is well-documented. The developer is very responsive on support too. It was well worth a few minutes of setup to streamline everything on an app I’m using many times a day.
Works with Latest MacOS update

This thing works! Thank you, I’ve retracted my other review and re-submitting this one. Looks like the app-intents/shortcuts were bugged out on my previous version of MacOS.
Developer Response
🤙🏼 Thank you, appreciate you updating it!!
Doesn't work

Tried installing twice, but no shortcuts come up in Apple shortcuts.
No visible new features, but increased stability, especially for those of you on iOS 26.
Heads-up: this release raises the minimum requirement to iOS 18.4. If you're on an older OS, the previous version 2025.2.x will keep working for the foreseeable future.
■ No Longer Broken
• If you held a macOS-only license and opened the paywall to add iOS, the sheet would flash a "License Verified" toast and close on the spot, making the upgrade impossible. Fixed! Single-platform license holders can now actually see, and buy, the upgrade offering. Sorry for the mess.
• The "License Verified" toast no longer appears for customers without a license, and no longer flashes on every routine open of the License tab. It now only shows up when it actually means something: after a successful purchase, after a successful restore, or when you explicitly retry a failed license check.
• The app title on the Home tab no longer drifts off-center when it wraps to multiple lines.
■ Changes
• Under the hood, the entire communication layer between AFO and Obsidian's "Actions URI" plugin was rewritten from scratch. You shouldn't notice a difference in day-to-day use, but if an Obsidian call ever hangs, you'll now get a clear timeout error after 20 seconds instead of waiting indefinitely.
