The timer function lets you set Off to trigger up to 24 hours in the future so you can set a computer to automatically turn off after a task such as completing a download or upload or to automatically lock at a certain time to limit a child's screen time.
If you want to know whether the computers in your house are turned off - you can check from your iDevice.
If you use a computer to stream videos or audio to your living room, then you can turn it off when you are finished without getting out of the sofa.
If you forget to turn things off at night then you can turn them off from wherever you are in the house.

This app is perfect for limiting your children's use online and remotely shutting down after streaming movies at night into the bedroom. NIL complaints, works great. Those complaining that it only works the first time you set it up the solution is simple. Give whatever device you install it on a static IP address every time it boots up. Otherwise it will only find your networked device if by chance it selects that one when it boots up. I had issues when I first got the app, but the developers were absolutely fantastic via email in assisting me to work out what was going on and how to fix it. Just find your computers 'mac' address, punch it on to your router to make it a constant and away you go! Keep up the good work guys.

Well worth it if you, like me, find yourself wondering "is my computer off" or needing to turn your computer off after getting into bed and remembering. Or even while on your way out of the door, rather than unlocking and going back inside to turn off your computer, just boot up the app and switch it off easily! Love it :D simple easy to use interface, straightforward and intuitive. Great work guys!
An okay application worth having

I found the application a little hard to set up because I didn't know you have to save the password then reboot it and perhaps my Mac, but after a bit of fiddling around I have got it to work well. My only real gripe is the instructions seem a bit threadbare and while it works well a few metres away from the Mac the remote application didn't give me the reassurance that it had shutdown my Mac when I told it to, but eventually it seemed to and I'm pretty happy with it and I think it is worth having and hopefully subsequent versions will have these issues dealt with properly. I forgot to say it does seem to work with Snow Leapord.
Rewritten with more shiny, and the same great features.
Generally better looking, more modern and ready for the latest Apple Devices.
