This app could be awesome but falls short. The Tesla app demonstrates exactly how short. I have both a Mazda and a Tesla. The Mazda vehicle has a nicer finish inside and is slightly more comfortable but the difference in apps is like night and day. In particular. The mazda app responsiveness, update rate, functionality and way alerts and messages are handled are close to awful. Having to wait minutes to see if doors are locked is next to useless.

Where is the Unlock button gone?

I have a Mazda CX-80 PHEV Azami (AU version) fully enrolled in Connected Services. Until recently, the app included a remote unlock button, which I used regularly to quickly access the car without the key fob. Over the past few weeks, this has been replaced by a “Locate” button, and the unlock option is no longer available. This was one of the most important features for me, and losing it has been very inconvenient. I’m not sure if this is a bug or an intentional change, but I hope it gets addressed.

This app offers absolutely no useful features. Despite "pulling to refresh" dozens of times, it can tell me the current tire pressures, but not battery charge level! It only tells me what my battery charge level was 5 days ago. That is useless information. The limited 'remote control' options never seem to succeed. The 'search' function is actually just the navigation function, and its map is either out of date or completely wrong too. I repeat. Useless. Do not pay for a 'My Mazda' subscription!

Poor Service Booking

Although all vehicle details in the App were correct, my service was booked under a previous Mazda which I no longer owned, and wasn’t even listed in the App. I still had to ring the local Mazda Service Centre to fix the error. The Service Centre had no details whatsoever of my new current vehicle. Communication between App and Service Centre is appalling. There is also no details whatsoever if my Service booking or ability to amend the booking.
