CameraSim is a fun and engaging way to demystify the DLSR camera!
I bought this app mostly to support the developer, but I do a lot of teaching, and it might come in handy at times.The idea is wonderful, the interface is lovely, the tips and info are great and it is an awesome hands-on tool for beginners.I would really like to see more than ONE subject, though. It would be nice to have a number of choices, and especially a number of different lighting scenarios (beyond the slider that is there but doesn't actually do anything VISUAL).Please work on it some more and expand it. You're onto a good thing, but it could do with a little bit more work.

Don’t buy this “app” it is a ripoff it has 1 picture that you adjust… that’s it 1 picture. Once you’ve do it once that’s it. No new photos… just 1 pic. Very very disappointing!!!! Sadly I had to give it a star to leave a comment otherwise I would have given it a minus score.

Yesterday I took an introductory course in 'how to get away from the auto settings on my camera'. The tutor recommended this app as another way to consolidate what we learned (apart from actually using a camera!), and having just played with the app now, it really does work (iPad2 with ios6). The app is great and will help to reinforce my knowledge and practise and experiment by simulating altering camera settings to see what effect different settings have on a shot. Thanks for this awesome tool!

This App is one of the more useful ones. For beginners its awesome. A great learning tool, and it satisfying. Just give us some direct camera control capabilities from an iPad , or iPhone ....wireless and you would see this sell like hot cakes.
