Remembering birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other special events is now easier than ever. Occasions is the best way to keep track of and remember important events in your busy life. You can also send your well wishes to friends and family, right from the app. Here’s what you can do with Occasions as your special-events manager:
• Sync birthdays, anniversaries and other events with Contacts.
• Set up to 3 alerts for each event, and customize alerts for individual events.
• Choose from a wide selection of holidays, conveniently categorized by country and religion.
• Add events from Occasions to your device’s built-in calendar.
• Create events that are independent of Contacts.
• Send messages to friends and loved ones via phone, email or text, right from the app.
• Change the app's look and feel with themes and app icons.
• Glance at the widgets and Apple Watch app to see timely event information.
• Automatically back up your data to iCloud.
This updated version is a terrible app. The original was far better. The biggest problem is now it does not tell you about upcoming birthdays, only how many days since the last birthday. Also you have to scroll through the whole year as it doesn't bring upcoming events to the front. I am now searching for a better alternative. Don't get.

I love this app but would like to move over the occasions I have in the old app that’s not being updated now. Is there anything that can be done? I can even see what they are to manually put them in. Otherwise it’s a great app and I surprise many friends that I remember their birthdays 😊

I’ve used it for years and except for the occasional update hiccups that all Apps suffer, confusing after some but gr8! It’s always been excellent for my uses.

Original app was terrific! Provides birthday/holiday reminders and syncs into Calendar. However in recent years, reminders duplicated exponentially - a birthday reminder now chimes 120 times in rapid-fire!!! I’ve followed instructions to fix it, but to no avail. I deleted and reinstalled it, and I got charged again for the privilege. PLEASE fix this!!!
