I was struggling to capture the evolving structure and plans for my blog and a couple of websites. I operate best with structured thinking so was pleased to find this solution. I was using notebooks, whiteboards, project software, OneNote, iOS Reminders and whiteboards but always ran into problems. E.g. on anything physical I’d find I’d be writing myself into a corner, and found it annoying if I needed to reorganise my structure. OneNote and reminders became hard to find things if you forgot the search terms plus they quickly become over flowing with detail. They also limit the hierarchy of your ideas to two levels which is frustrating. WorkFlowy doesn’t.I find its UX experience a breath of fresh air - I like how you can easily change the hierarchy layout, they make it hard to accidentally delete sentences yet easy if you intend to. Little things like that. Plus it’s super fast and accessible on all my devices. Really nice product. I wish it could capture visuals some how though - not bulleted outline level but in the detail. But they do allow URL links which when referencing cloud storage is a reasonable compromise. Overall highly recommended!!
Simply Revolutionary

I’ve not used this app for long, but I’m already starting so see how this can help me now and for many years to come. I write a blog and I always have ideas that I want to write about, but the problem is they always just stay in my brain, which ultimately never sees fruition. What’s even more is when I try to get my ideas down on paper, I could just never find a way to get my ideas organised when I write them down on any note pad. So essentially I’m left with nothing more than a bunch of thoughts that are just there but don’t make much sense due to a lack of structure. But now this app has changed all that and everything is categorised and my brain doesn’t seem to be having a hard time processing information. I guess my brain is just obsessed with categories and without them I’m hopeless. But as the title of my review has already noted, this app is simply revolutionary!
Good app once you learn it
MarkFranklin99
I had wrote a review saying that the web app and the iPhone app are great but the iPad app not so much. It turns out, once you learn how to use it you can do more or less everything with it you can do on the web. My complaint was and remains that it has been optimised only for touch, but on a large iPad with a mouse or touchpad and keyboard it feels clunky. In a perfect world the app would ‘know’ when you’re hovering a mouse over a context sensitive menu or just want to use your finger. Anyway, it works and that’s the main thing.
Great product but devs won’t remove auto-gen URL in your text
GavMan3
Love the product and use it for years, but it is so painful when Workflowy decides your text is a URL and turns your text into a URL (you can’t turn this ‘feature’ off!). Worse, there is then no way to remove the incorrect URL (they won’t listen to putting in the ability to remove it!) and so you end up with invalid ugly URLs all over your text. At least MS Word allows you to click and remove hyperlink!Don’t use this until they listen and fix this ‘feature’.
