So good buy wish it didn’t cost money for extra features. Also wish it could have a free 3D feature so you can see all of the boat instead of having to see photos and the photos might not even have a photo of parts of the shipPlease review and try to activate my idea on MarineTraffic-Ship Tracking

US using Marine Traffic details to identify vessels from Columbia. With the surge in US naval interdiction of vessels suspected of carrying drugs towards the USA. It has been suggested that vessels on ‘innocent passage’ update their MT details to help in identifying them in the event of an incident at sea. It has been suggested that updating vessel photos on Marine Traffic would help in identifying vessels on ‘innocent passage’. We attempted to upload a photo of our vessel radio call sign which is clearly visible on our Bimini roof. Our photo of the call sign was rejected by Marine Traffic as ‘not relevant’. Subsequently we were shadowed and intimidated by three vessels, over a period of three hours, as we were heading from Panama to the Galapagos. And that same night a ‘drug smuggling vessel’ was intercepted and sunk in the same area. Marine Traffic’s refusal to upload our ID put us in a life threatening situation. I have written to them twice, but have heard nothing back. Very disappointed in their response.
Suggest improvements to interface and in app purchases
Listen to me Colin
Okay it sort of works. But the interface is a bit all over the place and needs a complete rethink imho. On the in app purchases everywhere, I guess that is the modern way. But some of them are applied too strictly. For example, if you buy 24 hours of position information through Access Plus 24, that historical position is no longer accessible after the 24 hours. So the access might have just expired, but rather than provide the last position during the time I paid for access, it provides a (free) position report from, say, 20 hours ago. This would be an easy fix and much fairer. And for that matter, I suggest something other than a bog standard “please reach out to customer support with more details” response. I provided a specific suggestion re Access Plus 24 in my review. Take it or leave it, but if you leave it your app will be the worse for it, imho. As for the user interface, i suggest some extensive ux work on the app

I use this app to track the boats my partner is on when he delivers them around australia. It would be great to nominate 1 boat which, when you open the app, it tells you instantly where that boat is..At the moment I open the app, locate the boat from the fleet, click and wait to see. When I choose to track just one boat all I need is to see the last position and info for that boat only... If I want to see all boats in the area or a fleet then I would click on buttons to open those screens.
- Multiple bug fixes and small improvements
