Spotica Menu is a MacOS menu bar app and mini player that shows the currently playing track, album, and album cover from Spotify or Apple Music.*
It puts common music controls (play, next, previous, and more) right in your menu bar, along with a choice of mini players and global hotkeys. A large number of custom configuration options are available including the colours, layout and global hotkey actions.
*Some features are only available on Spotify

Hey John, Love the app, use it all the time now and thanks a tonne for this new update! I have a bug with it that the background of it is see through and you can see my desktop through the menu bar. IDK if it is just me or, yeah cool

Hi Tywyll, Sorry for the late reply! This is a 'feature' of macos and we are unable to change it. If you set your accessibility settings to 'reduced transparency' in System Preferences the background will be more opaque. Hope this helps!
Great app, room for improvement

This app is is really great and works well, however is missing a few key features. Firstly, the Menu Bar text is fantastic, but it is not omtimised for retina displays so the text looks blurry on screen and looks a bit average. It’d also be great to have a play/skip button in the menu bar too. Finally, the button to access the bio is very small and fiddly – it’d be fantastic if this was easier to access. All in all a great app with lots of potential

The only app I've found that has nice neat toolbar UI and the ability to like songs without going in to Spotify or another window. Love the progress bar and customisation options. Great on my retina display.
Great app, but miss one feature

Love this app. The only feature I miss is the Apple Podcast suport.

- Progress border: a new progress style that traces a coloured border around the menu bar item as your track plays, with adjustable thickness, direction, and start corner. it's cool!
