Great value for money I buy the ticket and use it instead of taxis it’s a cheap way of getting around on and off service all over town , for £45 you get three days use of the service . I’ve spent that in one day on cabs before!! The staff are an added bonus so knowledgeable they make the tours exciting and interesting. If you ever come across the guide affectionately known as Big Steve then you know you are in for a treat! Big Steve is funny and full of random knowledge not just about the UK and makes everyone feel very welcome. I did a walking tour with him on my last trip and it was the highlight of my stay. Thank you Big Steve and Big Bus , Steve is a huge asset to the company . Can’t wait to be back in the UK after the virus restrictions lift and get back on the bus.🚌💞

What a fabulous service and such a great way to see all the main sites on offer. I’d thoroughly recommend going for the 2 day pass otherwise it’s a lot to fit in one day. Quick service, helpful guides and we loved the top deck!

Bad Experience in DC

My partner and I were in Washington DC for three days. The second day of using the bus, we walked 20 minutes to the closest stop that the blue loop stops at. It had previously picked us up from that point the day prior. We waited for 30 minutes and saw the blue loop bus drive right past the stop leaving us instead of pulling over as instructed. There was only a few people on the bus so there was plenty of room for us and it was definitely operating. We then had to walk another 40 minutes to the next bus available which meant we wasted over a hour and a half of our short trip in DC.Later that day, we went to Arlington cemetery. The last bus was scheduled to pick us up at 4.25pm from the exact same stop within the cemetery. We made sure to be waiting at that same stop by 4.15pm just in case with another couple who were waiting. We waited for another 20 minutes and while tracking the app noticed the blue loop came to Arlington Cemetery but did not enter the cemetery and stopped at a completely different stop a lot further down the road. By the time we ran to the bus stop it had gone. That was the last bus of the day. I then had to organise Uber’s (three canceled before we managed to get in one) and spend $20 USD on transportation. Also, we purchased two deluxe tickets that lasted 48 hours and on our confirmation email and prepaid voucher it stated that we had access to ALL loops and tours including the night tour. We left this night tour to the last day that our tickets were eligible but when asking a big bus representative she mentioned there are two deluxe tickets and we didn’t purchase the one that had the night tour even though our prepaid voucher stated it. She asked for the prepaid voucher but I couldn’t give it to her as another bus bus representative took it with him at another stop.Very disappointed experience with Big Bus in DC. We have used this company many times in other cities across the US but found the worst to be in Washington. We were left behind twice because the drivers decided not to follow their instructions and we missed out on a night tour.

This was a great tour. Even though we thought we knew a lot about London we really got our bearings and worked out what we wanted to see in our short time here . Roland, our guide, was wonderful on the day- very lively and informative. We’d recommend Big Bus Tours and are going on one in Paris next.
