Ratings and Reviews
Interaction
Excellent app.
The most valuable aspect is the interaction information or potential conflict between the medications currently on your list and any proposed addition.
I experienced a severe anaphylactic reaction to a particular antibiotic years ago - yet within minutes of answering the inevitable “Any allergies”? I have been issued that same antibiotic in a hospital ER or a GP clinic 4 times in the last 12 months.
Everything that goes in my mouth or arm is filtered through this app.
To me this app is literally a lifesaver.
Take control of your own health
I recommend this app to everyone I meet so that they have a good idea of what is being prescribed to put in their bodies. All of us need to be totally aware, (we only have one body) and not just blindly follow instructions given by others, which may have adverse effects causing extreme events due to iatrogenic causes.
AU support
Handy but to "Know more, Be sure" it needs better support for Australian medications, including missing brands and labelling. Consider looking at CSIRO's Ontoserver SNOMED-CT-AU API or even MIMS. In the last few years Aus has moved away from using brand names for consistency, which has been good but there are still some times where a prescription may not be substituted for another or generic brand. It is common in Aus to see the drug name together with the brand e.g. SOLONE (prednisolone).
