Fantastic accuracy! And highly motivating for someone with ADHD & Demand Avoidance. It has opened my eyes to levels of stress during situations I thought I was just more focused for - the increased focus is caused by a heightened stress response. The app’s prompts are also relevant to times when my stress is actually heightened (instead of standard reminders at set times of the day), which has significantly increased my motivation to take the prompt on board and do breath work or be more aware of where my body may be holding tension. My average resting heart rate gradually decreased each day over the first week of using it and my overall stress gradually improved also (until the weekend hit, and that was a whole different ball game of self awareness!). As well as my sleep levels and quality with some valuable insights and information into sleep cycles and improving sleep quality too. There are also instructions and settings included within the FAQs of the app for all users to increase the amount of times your watch will read your heart rate - but it does create a higher demand on the watch battery which has been a bit of a challenge, but I try to remember to put it on charge whenever I’ll have a period of time that I know I’ll be settled and relaxed for anyway, when I shower and when I am preparing for bed, and it seems to keep up. The pro version is highly worth the discounted rate of $40 per year if you can afford it when the app offers it, otherwise you can still get basic data regarding your heart rate variability with the free version - low variability means your heart rate is remaining in a state of tension and stress and isn’t receiving signals to relax and settle, whereas high variability means your heart rate changes often to adapt to movement, excitement, relaxation etc as it should when the body and mind are functioning at a healthy level.
