I was having a quick look after reading an article about its credentials. After a few quick warm ups I threw Kimi a curve ball that I was pretty sure would be knocked back . No , Kimi went to the task quickly and efficiently saving me a whole lot of intense work and I came away thinking Kimi is going to give the big boy a real run for their money . I actually think Kimi is better than the Ai stars .

Updating my review after discovering Thinking mode needs to be turned on, otherwise it hallucinates all over the place. It can take time to analyse, but i think its worth it. I didnt give it full stars because the app design needs some improvement. Its too easy to prematurely send by accident. iPhone's return button is used to send in the app, and also when trying to amend in the text box its too easy to accidentally send due to tight layout/ proximity of other send prompt button. The ai is great but the app is bare bones and needs some improvement. Bellow is the old review with thinking turned off by default.- I still like it for some things such as writing, but not for information (especially web info). It seems to lose context very easily, and hallucinates too readily. Deepseek and Qwen are my preference against any corporate american ai which are more interested in controlling and manipulating perceptions of truth than genuinely enlightening the user (but still can be good where political and business self interest isn't challenged).

Once it has the faculty of personal intelligence like Gemini does from Google it will certainly be a force to be reckoned with meaning the ability to have persistent memory across conversational threads and the ecosystem of all of the apps by Google and otherwise is the most important thing moving forwards!
