호주에서 유학 중인 대학원생입니다. 영어는 어느 정도 하지만 말을 할 때 유창하게 이어가는 게 항상 아쉬워서 쉐도잉 앱을 찾다가 이 앱을 알게 됐어요.그동안 스픽, 듀오링고, ELSA 같은 앱도 써봤는데, 쉐도잉 자체에 이렇게 집중한 앱은 처음이었습니다. 아직 일주일 정도밖에 안 썼지만 생각보다 자주 들어가게 되더라고요.제가 제일 마음에 들었던 건 거북이 모드랑 무한 반복 기능이었어요. 어려운 문장은 계속 반복해서 연습할 수 있고, 제 발음을 바로 들어볼 수 있는 것도 좋았습니다. 긴 강의를 끝까지 들어야 하는 게 아니라 짧은 영상 하나씩 따라 말할 수 있어서 부담도 적고, 관심 있는 콘텐츠로 연습할 수 있다는 점도 정말 마음에 들었습니다.아쉬운 점도 몇 가지 있었습니다. 먼저 콘텐츠를 선택할 때 로딩이 조금 느리다는 느낌을 받았어요. 콘텐츠를 열 때 잠깐씩 기다려야 하는 경우가 있어서 조금 아쉬웠습니다.또 하나는 코스 학습 화면에서 ‘추가함/추가 안 함’이라는 버튼이 있었는데, 처음에는 무엇을 추가한다는 건지 바로 이해가 되지 않았어요. 코스를 내 목록에 추가하는 건지, 즐겨찾기인지, 학습 계획에 넣는 건지 헷갈려서 다음 단계로 넘어가기까지 꽤 헤맸습니다. 넘어가기 버튼을 못찾아서.. 개선해주시면 처음 사용하는 사람들도 훨씬 이해하기 쉬울 것 같아요.그리고 개인적으로는 리마인드 기능이 조금 더 있었으면 좋겠습니다. 쉐도잉은 결국 꾸준히 하는 게 가장 중요한데, 마지막으로 연습했던 콘텐츠를 이어서 추천해 주거나 “오늘 5분만 해볼까요?“처럼 부담 없이 다시 시작할 수 있는 알림이 있다면 더 자주 사용하게 될 것 같습니다.저는 호주에서 생활하다 보니 미국식 영어뿐 아니라 호주식이나 영국식 영어도 많이 연습하고 싶은데, 이런 콘텐츠도 앞으로 더 많아졌으면 좋겠습니다. 최근 한국인의 호주 워킹홀리데이 비자 신청 연령이 35세까지 확대되면서 호주 영어를 배우려는 사람도 앞으로 더 많아질 것 같아요. 호주 드라마나 인터뷰, 실제 카페나 직장에서 자주 쓰는 표현 같은 콘텐츠가 추가된다면 이 앱만의 강점이 될 것 같습니다.아직은 무료 버전을 사용하고 있지만, 계속 만족스럽다면 멤버십도 이용해 볼 생각입니다.영어 공부는 결국 꾸준히 하는 게 가장 어려운 것 같은데, 이 앱은 ’한 문장만 따라 해볼까?’라는 마음으로 부담 없이 시작하게 만들어 준다는 점이 가장 좋았습니다. 로딩 속도와 몇 가지 UI만 조금 더 다듬어진다면 정말 오래 사용할 것 같은 앱입니다.

전체적으로 학습하기에 좋은 앱이라고 생각됩니다.호주에 거주중인데, 호주 악센트를 연습할수있는 호주식 영어 컨텐츠가 더 많았으면 좋겠네요.그리고, 앱을 백그라운드에 올리고 다른 앱을 쓴다던가 폰 화면을 끈다던가해도 영상이 재생되었으면합니다.
자막 싱크가 너무 안맞아서 사용할수가없어요
