“Miraikan Assist” is an app designed to support visitors with visual impairments in experiencing the exhibitions at the Miraikan, the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. By scanning AR markers and QR codes placed on the permanent exhibitions, the app displays information about the exhibits as well as supplementary content. The displayed information can also be read aloud using the built-in speech function. The app is compatible with VoiceOver. Please note: An internet connection is required to use this app. When the app is launched, it opens to the camera screen. Please use it to scan the AR markers and QR codes located in the permanent exhibition areas. AR markers provide overviews and accessibility support for the exhibitions, while QR codes offer more detailed and supplementary information. This app can also be accessed through the official Miraikan app, and when it is closed, it will return to the official Miraikan app. * “QR Code” is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.
