Where You Land After Saving
Saving a recipe now leaves you looking at the recipe.
- Saving and Editing Opens the Recipe: Saving a formula used to drop you back on the recipe library. You now land on the recipe itself, where the formula, the method and the button to start a bake already are.
- It Says What It Did: A short line confirms whether the recipe was saved or updated. A small edit used to look much like nothing had happened.
- Back Goes Where You Expect: Backing out of a recipe you just saved takes you to the library, in one step. The calculator is not left behind you to walk back into.
One Fewer Tap to a New Recipe
- Tapping "+" in the recipe library opened a panel headed "Create New Recipe" that offered a single choice: the calculator. It was left over from when there were two calculators to pick between, and the question it asked no longer exists. "+" now opens the calculator directly.

What's New in Version 1.18.0
One Recipe Calculator
You no longer pick between percentages and grams before you have entered anything.
- Both Units, One Screen: The two separate calculators are now one. A % / g control in the header flips the same dough between units whenever you like — nothing resets, nothing is re-entered. It is the same recipe read the other way round.
- Opens in the Unit You Wrote It In: A saved recipe opens the way you left it. A new one opens in the unit you used last time.
- New Recipe Goes Straight There: Tapping New Recipe opens the calculator instead of first asking which kind you wanted.
Your Starter, Properly Accounted For
- The Starter Card in Grams Mode: Grams now has the card percentages already had — the flour your starter is fed with, a hydration slider, and a line showing how much flour and water are hiding inside the starter you are about to weigh.
- Feed It a Flour That Is Not in the Dough: If your starter runs on rye but the loaf has no loose rye, you can now say so. The FED WITH picker offers this dough's flours first, then a pantry. A pantry pick joins the blend pinned to exactly what the levain supplies, so the blend still totals 100% and nothing became something you weigh. Before this you had to add the flour by hand and guess a percentage that matched.
The Formula, as One Table You Can Check
- Every Percentage on the Same Basis: A saved recipe shows its formula as one table where every figure is a share of total flour, counting what is already fermenting inside the levain. The water row reads your dough's real total hydration, not just the water you pour in, and the flour rows always add to 100%.
- See Inside the Levain: The levain row opens to itemise the flour and water within it — "62.1g — 11% of its 41%" — so the arithmetic is checkable without leaving the table. A flour that arrives entirely in the levain gets its own row marked "in levain" instead of a weight, with a line confirming there is nothing extra to weigh.
- One Flour, One Row: A flour both fed to your starter and weighed out separately is a single row showing its total share, with a two-part bar saying which half is already in the jar. It used to appear twice under the same name.
- Shared Recipes Show the Same Table: A recipe you send renders the identical table on the web, so the person you sent it to reads the numbers you do.
A Flour's Amount Now Means Its Total
Typing an amount for a flour means how much of that flour is in the loaf altogether, including any arriving inside the starter. What you weigh loose is worked out for you. A percentage has always meant this; grams now agrees.
Fixed
- Grams mode assumed every starter was equal parts flour and water. If you keep an 80% starter, the total hydration it showed was wrong by roughly a point. It now uses your starter's real hydration — unchanged if you do keep it at 100%.
- Recipes built in grams could not be shared. They can.

Sort Your Recipe Library
- Newest First, by Default: Your library now opens with the recipes you saved most recently at the top, instead of the arbitrary order it used to come back in.
- Four Orderings: Tap the sort control beside the "Recipe Library" heading for Newest first, Oldest first, Recently updated, or Name A-Z. Reach for Recently updated while you are refining a formula — the recipe you tweaked this morning comes back to the top even if you wrote it a year ago.
- It Remembers What You Picked: The ordering you choose is still there when you come back to the screen and the next time you open the app, and it holds while you search or filter by tag.
Your Bake Card, All of It
- The lock screen bake card is sized and laid out properly now. It stays inside the space iOS gives it whatever the step is called and however long its cue runs, so the recipe name is no longer clipped and the countdown no longer loses the top of its digits.
Fixed
- The button at the head of the tag row did nothing when tapped, and was hidden entirely if you had no tags. It is now the sort control, visible at all times.

What's New in Version 1.16.0
Fermentolyse
- New Step — Fermentolyse: Add it to your recipe method and it runs in
guided baking like any other step. Rest the flour, water and levain
together before the salt — the weigh-out and the alerts follow the
method, so the levain comes out at the fermentolyse instead of the mix.

What's New in Version 1.15.0
Autolyse Earns Its Place
A long rest should look like progress.
- Autolyse Is Its Own Step: The bake progress rail no longer folds the autolyse in with the mix, so finishing one actually moves you along the rail instead of leaving it parked for the hours the dough is resting.
Fixed
- Signing In With Google: Tapping Sign in with Google opens your account picker and signs you straight in again. If you'd had to fall back to Apple or email, Google is yours again.

What's New in Version 1.14.0
Two Loaves, Side by Side
Run more than one bake at once - and always know which is which.
- Each Bake Keeps Its Own Timers: Start a second loaf and the first one's reminders stay exactly where they were. Every fold, the lid coming off, the crust check — all of it survives.
- A Card for Every Bake: Each loaf gets its own live card on the lock screen. Two can sit side by side, and finishing one leaves the other alone.
- Every Alert Names Its Loaf: "Take the lid off" now says which bread it means, on its own line — so the instruction itself still reads in full.
- The Right Loaf, Every Time: +5 min and Mark Complete act on the bake whose card you tapped, not whichever one happened to be last.

What's New in Version 1.13.1
Weigh It Without Leaving the Bake
How much, right where you need it.
- Amounts in Every Step: The levain build, the autolyse, the mix and the shaping all state their own weights, so you never have to leave the bake to go and look them up.
- Tick It Off as It Goes In: Tap each ingredient as you weigh it. The one you're on stands out from across the counter, and your place is still there when you come back.
- See Your Levain Build: Starter, water and flour drawn to scale in the jar — in the order you actually add them.
- Know What's Already in the Bowl: The mix step names the dough your autolyse left behind, not just the levain and salt going in next.
- Clearer Levain Instructions: What to do, in the right order, and what ripe really looks like — instead of "until ripe".

Guided Baking
Stop reading the recipe. Bake it.
- Step by Step, Timed: Start a bake and the app walks you through it — levain, bulk, folds, shape, proof, bake — each step on its own timer.
- Live on Your Lock Screen: Your countdown lives on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. Mark a step done without opening the app.
- Pick Up Where You Left Off: A running bake waits on your Home screen with the clock still going.
- Bake a Shared Recipe Instantly: Open a link a friend sent and start baking it with one tap.
