Color Study is a tool for artists to simplify images, study colour and value, and accurately match colours through paint mixing. Load any photo and reduce it to clear shapes and essential colour information.
Color Study generates a clear colour map of your reference and provides guidance for mixing paints to match the colours you see, giving you a practical guide you can use at the easel or in study. Focus on the fundamentals that matter in drawing and painting.

Train your artistic eye
Color Study is not a design tool or palette generator. It is a learning tool for painters, illustrators, and art students who want to analyse what they see and make better decisions in their artwork.
Study master paintings, analyse your own photos, and deepen your understanding of value structure, colour harmony, and visual design.

This app does everything I need to learn and continue to develop with oil painting, all within one app. It's extremely helpful and lots of fun to use and gets me painting more, which is always a good idea! Clearly developed by someone who knows exactly what painters need. I believe it would be an incredibly useful tool for artists of all levels. Highly and unconditionally recommended. Very happy I found it.
