This update improves the widgets (colours in clear/tinted mode) and icons. It also fixes a bug that was causing imports to fail.

This update is bringing the goods!! There’s a lot to unpack here, but here are the essentials - You can now select your favourite characters per movie/show/episode (you can also import your TV Time character votes!!) - Community reviews will now show on the movie/show details screens. - GIFs are also now included! Available to all users, Premium or otherwise. - You can share profile cards and links so everyone knows where and how to find you in Cinephile. - There’s an alternative sign-in option with Google.

This update brings some highly requested data import options! You can now easily import your data from Letterboxd, Sofa Time, and TV Time’s official data. When importing the latter, you can also bring in your comments from that community. Plus, there are lots of other quality of life improvements, including the option to hide an episode’s thumbnail until you’ve watched it, and automatic translation when replying to comments in the social feeds.

You can now select your top 10 favourite movies and shows to showcase on your profile. The “Releasing” and “Timeline” sections have been improved. You now have more control over what you see there, and digital releases will also appear for movies—not just theatrical releases.

This update introduces a TON of improvements. Here's a breakdown of some highlights: - Navigation in threads continues to improve. This update should start making the community section really feel more like a vibrant social media feed, with much better navigation, and better handling of the feed (no more having my welcome post always appear when sorting by popularity). This "popularity" has been relabeled to "trending now", and takes other things into account beyond just likes and comments. It also refreshes daily. My welcome post, and any future announcements I'll want to make, will appear as a dismissible pinned post that you can eliminate after seeing it once. - There are new options for keeping always the tab bar (not hide it when scrolling), as well as to have the rating prompt after marking something as watched appear automatically without having tap on the popup. Note that by default the popup is still on (I very much prefer it), but the automatic sheet presentation is now an option you can choose if you so desire. - Speaking of the popup, you can now do a lot more here, like mark as favorite, write a review, and VERY IMPORTANT, can navigate straight to the comments section form there to leave your two valuable cents. - The "Releasing" section in the Home tab can now be configured to show only releasing movies, shows, or episode releases (or all of course, that's the default). A similar fix has been added to the "Schedule" (which has been relabeled to "Timeline" to better convey the meaning of this screen). In the Timeline, for future releases (from today forward) you will only see relevant media (watching episodes, wishlisted / for later movies, etc), while going backward in time you will see everything, since it's a timeline of all releases in your library. - There are a LOT of privacy options now in your profile settings. You can now choose not just what to share, but WHO to share it with. - The app has been fully localized to Turkish and Arabic. - Fixed Trakt's sync problems that were introduced recently in a breaking API change on their end. This update is the first major refinement of the community features, making navigation much smoother and adding quality of life tweaks. No more jumping to Profile and then Feed. I’ve streamlined the flow completely. The tab has been renamed to “Community” (still showing your profile photo), and at the top level you can switch between your profile screen and the community feed—the setting sticks. In practice, you’ll have the feed open 99% of the time, with occasional checks of your profile. The feed now supports not only posts—you’ll also see other users’ ratings and reviews. Everything here is fully configurable; you can choose to show only posts and hide ratings and reviews, or the other way around. It’s your call. In the profile view, you can now also see your heatmap, and it’s much easier to view who you’re following and who follows you. Everything is user-configurable: you can hide follower/following counts and users, and you can also fully hide the heatmap. Every piece of information shown is entirely up to you to share or keep private.

G’day! I’m excited to announce that Cinephile’s highly requested community features are here! You can now create your social profile and start chatting with fellow cinephiles in the comments for movies, TV shows, and individual episodes! IMPORTANT!! If you haven’t been following the news and you’re worried I’m turning the app into a full-blown social media platform, don’t stress! As I promised from the start, *all* social features in the app are completely opt-in. There’s a toggle in the Settings screen—if you turn it off, the app will feel just as private as it does today. This update includes some great new tweaks: - New widget with an upcoming calendar for movie/show/episode releases (customisable — long-press the widget to choose what to show) - New “Haven’t Started Yet” section in the Home queue, plus an updated “Haven’t Watched In A While” section. The latter can be shown in either expanded mode (matching the rest of the queue) or compact mode. Compact mode is like what you have now, but improved so you can mark an episode as watched right there - Infinite scrolling in the new Schedule screen, with the option to show releases from All Time. The same applies to the “Recently Watched” screen

This update is PACKED with cool stuff: - A new “Schedule” screen, an extension of the Calendar, showing all releases for movies/shows/episodes. - New “Out in Theaters” and “Airing Now” feeds in the Search and Discovery screen. - In the Home tab’s compact list layout, you can fully customise the cards (including the option to show no background at all, the original look for this layout before the last update). - Fixed Trakt’s recent breaking changes, which made syncing with the platform impossible.

- There’s a new filter that uses a minimum TMDB rating to narrow down your search. - In the movie / show details screen, there’s a new section showing the collections this movie / show belongs to. - In the movie / show details screen, you can now tap the poster for a zoomed-in preview that you can share or download.

This update delivers a major upgrade to the Statistics screen. Explore a brand new set of stats, and interact with every chart. Now, just tap any part of a chart to see a tailored list of the movies or shows that match the selected statistic.

You can now skip episodes or seasons you don’t want to track or watch. Start tracking from any season or episode you like, and the queue will follow. Plus, there are lots of new customisation options for your library shelves.

Now you can customise your library shelves with new style options. Choose from a range of designs beyond the original timber beam look, so you can match your shelves to your desired aesthetic.

This is a small follow-up to the big 2.0 release. I’ve added a few minor tweaks to fix search in collections, plus major improvements to several localisations.

Here’s Cinephile’s biggest update to date!! The app has been completely reworked to support Collections and a new Library tab. There are a lot of improvements and new features in this update, but the biggest highlight is undoubtedly the new Collections feature. There are three different types of collections (standard, ranked, and smart). - Standard Collections: Simple collections where you can organise your media using whatever criteria you like (examples: related movies and shows from the same saga; the best horror movies from the ’80s, etc.) - Ranked Collections: As the name suggests, these are collections where you can rank your media based on your taste (examples: the top Italian comedies, the best horror movies of all time, best shows from the 2000s, etc.) - Smart Collections: My personal favourite! You set up a set of filters (e.g., by tags, ratings, library status, actors, etc.) and any media in your library that matches the selected filter criteria is automatically added to the collection!

This update adds a new import option for TV Time. You can now use the “TV Time Out” tool to export your data from TV Time and import it into Cinephile. A bug that prevented the search bar from working has been fixed.
