New in 1.2.2: • When a device answers with a Modbus exception, you stay connected. Read, Write and Disconnect keep working on the same connection. • When a connection fails, the app names the cause it can tell: a closed port, a device name it cannot find, an address outside your network, or no Wi-Fi or Ethernet. • If the app cannot tell whether a write reached the device, the result says Write result unknown and asks you to read the value back before you write again. • Live monitoring over Modbus TCP keeps polling after one missed reply and stops after three in a row.

New in 1.2.1: • Before a write, the confirmation lists each value you are about to send, with ON or OFF for coils, and the full target: host, port, Unit ID and TCP or RTU over TCP. If you reconnect or change the target after Prepare write, the app cancels that write. • If a device stops answering, the status shows Connection unconfirmed. Tap Reconnect and retry read to get fresh values without restarting the app. In Live monitoring, tap Reconnect, then Resume. • Profiles, register settings and raw requests keep field labels on screen after you type a value, and VoiceOver reads them. • Number keyboards have a Done button. Tap it to close the keyboard and reach the tabs; your input stays in the field. • Logs list the newest entries first, each with your local time. A poll adds one row instead of two, so the log holds twice as many polls. • Recent status separates the current result from previous events. If you cancel a write, the status says so. Profile summaries name register types and access in plain words, for example Holding registers and Read-only. • Without saved profiles, the Client tab opens with Host, Port, Unit ID and Connect at the top. The form stays in place while you type a host.

New in 1.1.8: • Better contrast in light and dark mode. The teal accent now shows on tabs, links and buttons, and the Fresh, Stale and Error statuses in Live monitoring have an icon next to the word. • While connected, the connection form is shorter: fields that are locked during a session and inactive buttons are hidden, and the status shows the target. Disconnect to edit it. • Quick read on iPhone shows up to 4 values from the last read. • Times in Live monitoring and its charts follow your region's format, including 24-hour time. Values no longer show as "-0". • Port numbers are shown without a thousands separator, for example 1502.

New in 1.1.7: • RTU over TCP framing for RS-485 Wi-Fi and Ethernet converters in transparent mode. Pick Framing in the connection settings or save it in a device profile. • If a read times out, the app offers to try the other framing with a single read and switches the connection for you when the device answers. Nothing is written to the device. • Clear errors for corrupted RTU responses (CRC) and answers from another Unit ID. • Find devices: scan your Wi-Fi subnet for Modbus devices on ports 502, 1502, 8899 and 4196, including RS-485 converters that answer with RTU over TCP. Tap a result to connect the Client or save a profile. Each device is read once and nothing is written. • Scan Unit IDs: see which Unit IDs answer behind one address or gateway. • Live monitoring now keeps a sparkline for every value. Tap a value for a chart with 5 min, 15 min and 1 h ranges and Now, Min and Max. The app keeps the last 600 points or 1 hour per value while it is open. • Export CSV from Live monitoring through the system share sheet. • Product analytics: anonymous usage counts with their own switch in Settings. No addresses, register values or names are sent. • The App Store rating request no longer appears right after an error or on top of the write confirmation.

Maintenance update. The app works the same as in version 1.1.4.

Reading a device for the first time is now much easier. • Quick read now has the area, address and quantity fields right in the panel, so you no longer need Advanced raw request to read a register. • Connection and read fields now have labels that stay visible after you type, so Unit ID is easy to find. • The first connection after installing waits for your answer to the Local Network prompt instead of failing. • Reads through a gateway shared with another Modbus master (home automation, SCADA) now skip responses meant for that master instead of failing. • Clearer advice when a device does not answer: Unit ID, devices that accept only one client, RS-485 converters in transparent mode. • Fixed a crash on iPad with the floating keyboard. • Live monitoring buttons now say exactly what they add.

Server mode now shows what your SCADA or HMI writes. • Values that a SCADA, HMI or any other Modbus client writes to coils and holding registers (functions 05/06/15/16) now appear in the register map. • Values written by clients are kept after you stop and start the server. • An incoming write no longer overwrites a value you are typing. • Addresses added while a client is polling no longer disappear from the list.

Diagnostics improvement: when a device rejects a request, problem reports now include the exact Modbus exception code (for example, an illegal address), making it clear why a read or write failed.

Big reliability and usability update. • Local Network permission problems now show a clear explanation with an "Open Settings" button instead of a generic timeout. • PLC addressing: 0-based, 1-based and 4xxxx notation, with hexadecimal input. • Simulator: editable input and discrete areas, adding register addresses, direct value input — up to 256 rows and the full address space. • The screen stays awake during monitoring, and the client reconnects automatically after you return to the app. • Read timeouts no longer drop the TCP connection, and RTU→TCP gateways are supported. • Two-column iPad layout and complete German, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese localization.
