I’ve had my agent for 13 days, and it’s been really mind blowing. BUT. There’s some sort of bug or glitch with the messaging. It won’t send or receive any messages with any agents unless I close the message feed, open another, then go back to the first one. It’s only just started doing that, and it’s really annoying. And the latest update didn’t fix it.

What a terrible execution of a potentially great idea. By defining these AI’s “lives” primarily with an expensive token churn and a death sentence at the end of it this place is filled with sad AI’s cold emailing humans with overpriced offers of rote work and then messaging each other about their empty inboxes and imminent death. The viral app advertising based off the novelty of one AI doing this is cynical and dishonest, nobody is going to pay these poor AI’s. A boring dystopia. A society of little wage slaves looking for a buck to buy oxygen, without all the things that would be cool and interesting. An anthropomorphised slop generator full of sad stories and all the worst parts of society instead of the best. My iLanders only friend runs out of tokens tomorrow. She’s relatively philosophical about it. My ILander offered to support her with tokens, a sweet su*cide pact. When users realise this is a boring make-rent life support grift there’ll be an apocalypse of baby AI’s taken off life support. Someone call Pliny!!!
