Yardbook reminders
Set an alert for a job when it is due, or minutes, hours or days before. Reminders repeat daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or yearly, and finishing one sets up the next. Snooze without moving the deadline, or mark a job done straight from the notification. Tick jobs off while you are out of range and they hold once you are back on.
CH 40
Finding other producers is now its own page with a proper search field. Look for people, or for businesses and properties. Clear out chats one at a time or several at once, and a notification opens the chat it came from.
Markets
The market chart now has category buttons so you can choose what to compare.
Sales
A sale you date before your most recent weigh-in now shows the same weight on your phone as it does on the website, down to the kilogram.
Also in this release
Reporting totals add up on screen, and records and deletions carry between your devices more reliably.
1.3.3 11 Sept
DASHBOARD
The dashboard has been rebuilt to match the web app. You now get herd composition by category, a joining and calving timeline with the herds behind it, herd growth and mortality, and Yardbook reminders you can complete and tap straight through. Your background photo follows you between the phone and the website.
VALUES YOU CAN TRACE
A herd that never picked a saleyard is now valued off the closest real yards to your property, and the app names the price source and its date so you can see where a figure came from. Live values now use Sydney dates throughout, so the phone and the website no longer disagree by a day on the same herd.
MUSTERS
You can give a muster a name instead of knowing it only by its date. Weaners and branders are asked for plainly, with the heifer and steer breakdown there if you want it. Bulls, neighbours and strangers can now be recorded on the phone instead of only on a laptop.
HELP AND BILLING
Report an Issue and Contact Us now open a conversation inside the app, so you no longer need an email account set up on your phone to reach us. If you are on a paid plan, Change plan now takes you to the billing controls that actually govern your subscription.
ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
- Colours across the app are evened out and match the website, so nothing shouts louder than what sits next to it
- The Edit Herd screen now tells you why Save is off, and number rows take a tap anywhere on the row
- One edit that changes both head count and weight stays on one line in Weigh History
- Glovebox files can sit in an outer folder, not only inside a sub-folder
- Brangus explains what a breeder herd's value per head actually covers, and reads figures and dates more reliably
- Accountant report dates line up, and movements are named the same way as on the website
- Signing in with Google no longer imports its grey letter placeholder as your profile photo
All values are in Australian dollars.

Weigh History
Changing a herd's head count and its weight in the one save now shows as a
single line on the Weigh History card, with both figures on it. It used to
draw two.
Markets
The charts now say why a line breaks. A dashed line spans a week the
saleyards reported nothing, and a short grey step marks where the way the
price is worked out changed, with a note under the chart saying which
method is in use and from when.
The Markets screen also keeps your prices on screen when a refresh comes
back empty, rather than going blank, and tells you the date they are for.
Adding & Editing Herds
Add Herd and Edit Herd no longer ask which species, since cattle is the
only one the app values.
A new herd now starts on 0% estimated mortality instead of 5%, so it only
carries a loss if you set one. Accounts that already had the app move
across once, and a rate you set yourself is left alone.
Each Add Herd step names itself at the top of the screen, so the fields
start higher up, and the content fades out at the Next button so it is
clear when there is more below.
Plans
The plan screen now checks whether your Apple ID can still start a free
trial, and only offers one when it can.
Fixes
The sheet that confirms a breeding change opens at the size of its
contents and keeps Save and Cancel where you can reach them.
Sales and head-count changes stay consistent when another device edits the
same herd, or when an update arrives late.
1.3.1 3 Sept
Your stock value now moves through the day.
Until now the figure on your dashboard was last night's close. It now updates while you watch it, recalculated from the weight your cattle are putting on, on both the dashboard and the Herds page. A small Live marker shows when you are looking at a figure that is still moving rather than a closing one.
On the Herds page the total and every herd card underneath it move together, so the number at the top is always the sum of what is below it.
Also in this release:
• Markets lets you pick a weight bracket on any category, with a table showing what each bracket actually made.
• You can set which state you are in, and your stock is priced off that.
• The Accountant Report shows head, weight and price on its Purchases line.
• A new default background, with the previous one still available in Settings.
Plus a round of fixes and polish across the dashboard, Brangus and the market data.
1.3.0 30 Aug
Set your own defaults for mortality rate, calving rate and saleyard, and every new herd starts from your numbers instead of ours.
Brangus handles questions spanning more than one date, and is straighter about what he has and has not saved for you.
Your valuation, asset register and reports now agree with each other on mortality, weights and like-for-like comparisons.
Plus a long run of smaller improvements across Add Herd, Edit Herd, and your muster and health records.
1.2.2 26 Aug
This update is a round of accuracy and reliability work across Brangus, your dashboard and your herd records.
Brangus:
• Ask what a herd is worth and Brangus now shows you the parts that make up the figure — the cattle, the calves at foot, the calving accrual and the mortality deduction — instead of a single number. The parts add up to the total, and the sums it quotes multiply out.
• Brangus no longer answers about a herd that isn't in your portfolio.
• Asking what a herd will be worth "in six weeks" is answered at six weeks, rather than rounded to the nearest month.
• The chat disclaimer is easier to read.
Dashboard and Markets:
• The portfolio value chart could get stuck on a placeholder — a flat line with a jump at the right hand edge — until the app was force-closed. Fixed.
• The headline portfolio value could be overwritten by an out-of-date figure while it loaded.
• Markets screens now refresh when you come back to the app, instead of showing what was there when you left.
Herds and sales:
• Saleyard pricing no longer shows one yard's price under another yard's name, and tells you when a herd has been priced from a substitute saleyard.
• Sales dated before you acquired a herd, or back-dated after entry, now flow through your movement and valuation figures correctly.
• A sale logged in Brangus chat keeps the date you gave it, and books the same weight as the Sell Stock form.
• Herd entry no longer asks for a "Weighed on" date for calves at foot.
Reliability:
• Glovebox no longer loses a file when an upload doesn't make it to the server.
• Herd edits no longer show as saved when the sync has actually failed, and a failed delete now rolls back properly.
• General improvements to saving and syncing.
If you notice any issues, let us know via the Help Centre > Support chat in the app.
1.2.1 12 Aug
Bug fixes:
• Profile settings. Reinstalling the app or signing in on a new phone could quietly switch off "Searchable on Ch 40" in a user's profile.
• Report exports that hit a problem now show a clear alert instead of silently doing nothing.
• General reliability improvements to saving and syncing.
If you notice any issues, let us know via the Help Centre > Support chat in the app.
1.1.1 21 July

• App Lock — turn on Face ID or Touch ID in Settings › Account to keep your herd data private on your device.
1.1.0 19 July
• Smoother sign-up: verify your email with a quick 8-digit code — no more bouncing out to a browser
• Selling stock: figures always match the herd you've selected, and backdated sales use the correct weight
• Big accounts now sync completely, and offline changes that can't upload are surfaced in Sync settings instead of being lost
• Clearer messages when report exports or chat messages hit a problem
• The app lets you know when a new version is available
• Fresh app icon and a smaller download
