I chose this game after watching an ad and have played it every day since then. I didn’t get a pop up ad until I finished the 15th game, which was notable because I’ve tried a lot of other ‘no ad’ games that don’t let you get that far. The levels are easy to progress through without being too simple. For me it’s the right balance of mindfulness and decision making. I’m already up in the 100s. There are features that you can access by watching ads, but the ads are short.
Good till glitches

Was playing the game daily, made it to level 65 in less than 2 days. Found it strange that the game updates everyday and was slightly annoying but not too much of a hassle. However what was a MASSIVE hassle was the game just deciding to not work beyond this level, entailing the fact that pieces that were the same colour with space to unfill refused to move at all, then would claim that the level failed. One time opening this level not even clicking on anything and it immediately took a life away and read a massive red FAIL!! I even restarted the app, left it alone for an hour, restarted the device the whole shebang and STILL it would either glitch before even starting or the pieces just refused to respond, it was quiet upsetting as this had become a new favourite of mine, finally a game that matched the add exactly or so I thought at least. Disappointing in the least that such a good game is held back by glitches and bugs. :(
It seems good but…

Colony flow is truly an great game, it’s engaging and satisfying and relaxing. My only issue occurs with its hard levels. The thing is, everything costs the in-game coins or real money. So if you lose a game, such as the harder ones you cannot for example watch an ad to revive like all the other games. This makes the game static and tedious if you’re finding a particular level challenging. Same with the boosts, you can ONLY gain more by paying with the in-game coins, and mind you they are expensive to spend and if you cannot beat a level and need the coins you MUST use your own real life money to buy them which makes the game frustrating. Other than that, if you can afford to waste money on a game, please feel free to enjoy Colony Flow, it is thought provoking and yet so enjoyable.
Not enough free coins

While the normal levels are fine. The super hard levels can feel almost impossible without assistance, due to how colours are distributed. Coins to buy that assistance seem to be priced to be inaccessible without spending real money. Each day you can watch 5 ads, but watching 4 ads, only gets you 500 coins (the 5th is 15 min full hearts), which is a bit more than half the cost of being able continue your game when you get stuck (900), and less than a third of the cost of any of the items(1,600). Normal levels only get you 20 coins on completion, and the player doesn’t get to choose what difficulty level you have, so you can’t really save up for harder levels.
