Drone Forecast: DJI Air Map
Flight Control, Wind & Weather
Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Plan with data, not guesswork.
Drone Mate is a pre-flight weather and mission planning app built for drone pilots. It brings weather, winds at different altitudes, aircraft information, map locations, mission details and pre-flight checklists into one clear workflow.
GET A CLEAR FLIGHT REFERENCE
View a flight score for your selected location, time and aircraft. Clear condition labels help you quickly see whether conditions look favourable, call for caution or are not recommended. You can also review detailed weather data before making your final decision.
SEE THE WEATHER THAT MATTERS TO DRONE PILOTS
- Sustained wind and gust speed
- Chance of precipitation
- Visibility
- Temperature and dew point
- Cloud cover
- Wind direction
- Winds aloft
- Kp index for geomagnetic activity
- Hourly wind and temperature trends
EXPLORE WIND BY ALTITUDE AND TIME
Select a date, time and altitude to review sustained wind, gusts and direction. Compare current conditions with your selected aircraft profile to see when wind is approaching or exceeding relevant reference limits.
BUILD YOUR AIRCRAFT HANGAR
Add and select commonly used drone models from the aircraft catalogue. Once selected, an aircraft can be used across weather analysis, wind references and mission planning without re-entering its basic details.
CHOOSE AND SAVE FLIGHT LOCATIONS
Use the map to choose a location, view its details and save frequently used places. Check conditions for where you are now or for a location you plan to visit later.
PLAN AND SAVE MISSIONS
Create missions with a location, date, time, altitude, aircraft and mission type. Saved missions show forecast information and a flight score for the planned conditions, making it easy to review details again before you head out.
RUN A CUSTOM PRE-FLIGHT CHECKLIST
Create checklist items that match your workflow, then confirm each item before take-off. Keep aircraft, environment and operational checks together so important steps are less likely to be missed.
USE YOUR PREFERRED UNITS
Choose between kilometres per hour and miles per hour, metres and feet, Celsius and Fahrenheit, and metric or imperial visibility units.
IDEAL FOR
- Aerial photography and travel
- Recreational drone flying
- Outdoor flight practice
- Production planning and location checks
- Planning future drone missions
- Reviewing conditions before take-off
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
Drone Mate provides weather and flight-condition references only. It does not provide flight authorisation and is not a substitute for local laws and regulations, airspace information, official weather warnings, aircraft manufacturer instructions or direct observation at the flight location. Forecasts may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate or subject to rapid change. Before every flight, verify local regulations, airspace restrictions, site conditions and aircraft status. The pilot remains solely responsible for deciding whether and how to fly.
