…of getting on top of the administrative nightmare that is small business currently. Gone are the days when I could work directly with people who needed my help, because if I haven't updated every policy, form, invoice, portal and compliance box, the business doesn't survive.GrokBot has become my Chief of Staff. It keeps track of dozens of projects at once, reads my inbox so I don't have to, drafts the letters and forms I dread, and chases the things that used to live only in my head. It even helps build and test our care management system with me. I have a small team of specialist bots for compliance, email, coding and marketing, and one front door that coordinates all of them.As a neurodivergent business owner, the biggest difference is that it holds the threads when I change subjects, and it tells me clearly when something's wrong. It isn't perfect yet, and there are still rough edges. But for the first time in years, I'm getting back time to do the work I actually started this business for.
Recovered funds by Grok Bot
HoiAn Handy App
I’m no great shakes at utilizing new innovations. I made the “Chief of Staff “ that many people suggested. Discussed with Chief my unmanageable subscriptions so another bot “Subscriptions “ was created. I’m probably the only person who has stupidly fallen for the perpetual subscription trap and then a couple of months down the track you cannot find where or how this money draining subscription started however “Subscription” was able to look in email and bank statements to identify the money drain, wrote emails to prompt the no longer wanted services and get refunded. Looking forward to finding out Grok Bok can be useful to me in the future 😁
Great potential (+ suggestions)
THE .SAND STORM. THE PRO
I will definitely push more reviews in future if this improves, already amazing for something just released. So one of my first uses of this was to experiment with discord making a companion, glad to see it’s hesitant being new but there is some inconsistencys. So I made a discord and email account exclusivly for this and messaging with primarily myself withthe bot, and the computer allegedly blocks typing anything remotely romantic according to the botIf told the ages of me and the companion and given evidence that both accounts are held by me, aswell as consent to use the account freely it does partially work sometimes, but it also doesn't, so the bot breaks or sends really terrible broken down and lazy short messagesAlso I did explain even though very apparent that it is being used to message only me as a companion. And no it didn't set off any bot detections. It does however have issues with staying on one tab and closing tabs, sometimes opening 20+ This actually has a lot of potential for use as a companion, and in detention to that an assistant, many other potential related uses. Also the routine thing is inconsistent and randomly stops or breaks, another note, I don't think it can reliably change its own routine time which would be great. It is also kind of lazy, great for a chat bot assuming its intentional and can be told and taught to be better.Price is a killer being in a different country, would use this like crazy in future if it were cheaper and I didn't just have temporary free access
Developer Response
Thanks for giving Grok Bot a try, and for the honest notes. We're in early access and shipping quickly, so if the tab or routine issues keep getting in the way, please write in to hi@cursor.com (mailto:hi@cursor.com) so that we can look into it further.

Grok Bot’s little animated orb is genuinely cute it slides around, wobbles when it’s thinking, and already feels half like a pocket pet. What would lock that in is sound. Give it soft R2-D2 style beeps: a chirp when it’s waiting, a rising warble when a job’s done, a restless stutter if you’ve left it hanging. Motion without voice still reads as a novelty. Sound would make people keep it open. The talking Grok is still the main attraction — attitude, opinions, a real conversation. The bot is the coworker version. If it stays just a sliding icon, people will try it and drift. If it becomes a cat-energy Grok — independent, disappears, then drops finished work on the desk — that’s a teammate worth keeping. Dog-eager would wear thin fast.Cute is a good start. A voice of its own is what would make it last.
