Wakie puts your safety first
Wakie includes safety tools designed to help you feel comfortable while meeting and talking with others:
- Reporting & moderation: You can report messages, profiles, topics, and clubs at any time. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and we take action on violations.
- Block & no-contact: You can block any user from their profile or inside a chat. Blocking prevents future contact and hides content between you and that user.
- Mutual consent for 1:1: One-to-one conversations can happen only after an explicit request is accepted.
- Automated detection: We use automated systems to detect policy-violating content in bios, photos, topics, and chats and to help route suspicious activity for review.
Your experience and well-being are a priority for us. Our support and moderation operate continuously to help keep Wakie a respectful, positive community.
Our app is free to download and use. To keep Wakie’s core features free, we offer a premium package called Wakie Plus. While all current Wakie features remain free, some additional features are available to Wakie Plus users.
The subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings after purchase.

There’s times I want to have a random phone call with someone and I can do that now! With no creepy video chats from other things and purely based on just chatting it’s great!

I’ve used this app on and off for the last 7 years. Though you do meet cool people, some who end up becoming long terms friends, there are a number of issues this app needs to address and correct. Sexual harassment is rampant on this app and there are no long term resolutions to dealing with the offenders. Moderators are not always diligent with reporting, restricting or blocking off offenders.

Great app but it would be way nicer if it had an algorithm where it understands what type of conversations and people the user enjoys talking to. And then suggest those people to the user.
