My return to childhood
qornie
I grew up with this game and missed out on the Origin download. I was devastated when none of my discs would load as I had the whole collection. I was so desperate to play this again, so I am SO glad it was brought out on Mac! I haven't had any issues with the game apart from some minor visual tears—apart from that, it runs flawlessly.I only wish that Apartment Life and Free Time would be added! They were my two favourite packs with some of the best gameplay options the Sims 2 ever released. If there was ever an opportunity for those DLCs to be released on Mac, I'd scoop them up in a headbeat.
The happy medium Sims experience for Macintosh!

Normally I would go for a fully expanded Sims 3 as far as the franchise goes given how feature rich it is. Sims 4 is probably the most stable at the expence of having a bare bones base game. The Sims 2 Super Collection may not be fully expanded version Windows users got, but it’s a comprehensive one as wells as being that happy medium between feature complete and stabilty. What Aspyr have done with Super Collection is pretty good and it runs at full resolution with maximum settings quite comfortably on a 15” Mid 2015 MacBook Pro.The Sims 2 compared to the original was far more forgiving (when compared to Hot Date) and the expanded / boosted content made the game solid contender against The Sims 3 for the first one or two expansions, along with offering up decent competition to an ever expanding Sims 4. Given how EA are looking, The Sims 2 Super Collection is safe purchase that doesn’t need Origin and like all the games can easily support custom content (with a bit of poking around for that elusive content folder).Ultimately if you’re looking for an affordable, stable and feature complete Sims experience for Macintosh - This is undoubtedly a surefire bet and well worth the purchase!
The Best Game Ever

The Sims 2 has been my favourite game for a very long time even when the Sims 3 and the Sims 4 came out. I was so exstatic to hear there was finally an Apple version of the game that I could play. I downloaded this game and I have had no problems what so ever with it on my MacBook Pro. It is quick and smooth and gameplay is very enjoyable. I wish however Aspyr could release some more expansion or stuff packs in an update one day as this would just add to the overall gameplay experience. It is an old game but it feels like a game released in todays times. Adding more expansion packs would only lessen the age the game actaully is.All in all a reallly fantastic and enjoyabe game.
Update with more stuff

I love playing this game and I could probably never get tired of it. I have always loved the sims 2 and was so excited to find this and be able to play it on my mac. I just wish maybe you could update it and throw in some extra stuff? More furniture and stuff please. Building the houses is one of my absolute favourite parts of this game and if there was new furniture I could build more and more houses. I also read there was the sims 2 Free time and some of the stuff in that game sounds fun. please consider doing and update soon, so I can be even more creative in building my houses.
