Theine keeps your Mac awake, hides your desktop icons, and dims the background around your active window. Three features, one purpose: a Mac that puts your task in focus, whether you’re working or presenting.
KEEP AWAKE
Prevent your Mac from falling asleep, dimming the screen, or starting the screensaver. Theine keeps macOS awake, just like caffeine keeps you: for a set time, or indefinitely. Essential for binge watching, presentations, video calls, renders, and long-running tasks.
HIDE DESKTOP
One click clears the stage. Theine covers all desktop icons and widgets with an image, blur, or color for a clean, presentable screen. Elevates your screen sharing, screenshots, and recordings, or simply keeps things tidy whenever your work deserves an empty desk.
FOCUS DIM
Theine dims everything behind your active window or app. Distractions fade, your work stays bright. Perfect for writing, coding, and working across large or multiple displays.
Theine cannot prevent sleep when used on a closed MacBook with no additional display connected.

Preferences

This is an excellent menu-bar app, in fact I'd say essential for many users. However, since selecting the one-click option from the preferences pane I can no longer summon preferences. Any clue how to get them back? Thanks for the feedback Martin. I did try right clicking, before writing my review, without success. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the app; it opened in one-click mode and again I couldn't return to preferences. I'm using Mojave.
Developer Response
Dear macmike65, just right-click the menuBar icon and the menu will appear like you expect! This is the default behavior when "Activate with left-click" is activated in the preferences. All the best and thanks for your kind words, Martin
