Muz’s recent changes made to “automatically” unmatch people and to set a 3-5 limit on number of chats is wrong, a violation of a person’s right to freedom, privacy and a person’s right to match with whoever, whenever and for however long. Muz is behaving wrongly like a dictator. Muz should not automatically unmatch people and should not have any limit on the number of chats. Muz is not supporting or encouraging relationships. Please remove the recent changes and undo the damage Muz has done with people’s matches and chats.

I’ve used Muzz on and off for a few years, but I’m genuinely disappointed by the recent direction the app has taken.To begin with, forcing users to disclose whether or not they have children feels like an invasion of privacy. That kind of personal information should be optional, not mandatory. We live in a world where safety and discretion matter and being required to publicly reveal something so personal feels uncomfortable and unnecessary.Beyond that, Muzz seems to be trying too hard to imitate Hinge but in a way that feels less about improving user experience and more about maximizing profit. The new limit that allows us to message only five people, and then forces us to pay for “Gold” just to unlock five more, is both manipulative and disheartening. It’s like putting a toll gate on a bridge that’s supposed to connect people looking for genuine relationships.This system doesn’t just frustrate users; it actively reduces our chances of finding a compatible partner. By shrinking the communication pool, you’re essentially penalizing users for trying to make real connections the very thing the app was built to encourage.I decided to give Muzz a second chance this year, but after this latest change, I don’t see myself coming back. The app has become less about fostering sincere Muslim connections and more about monetizing loneliness and that’s just sad to see.

Couldn’t cancel gold subscription

I found the app to be good but somehow I managed to pay for gold for 3 months, I’m not sure how it happened maybe I confirmed by accident. So I took it on the chin and looked for how to cancel the auto renewal. Manage subscription would take me nowhere so I messaged support for them to help me cancel any further payments. They said it must be through Apple so you have to go back to them but there was nothing in subscriptions on Apple. When I checked my bank account, payment had the heading Muzz so was taken directly from them. I tried to explain what was happening and they said a 3rd party handles all payments. I asked to escalate the matter and they never got back to me. Eventually I had to cancel my debit card to get away from these parasites.

I knew of two people who had met their spouses through Muzz so I decided to give it a shot. Alhamdullilah it is such a well developed app. So user friendly! I would definitely recommend the Gold feature because it makes it so much easier to filter what you’re looking for in a partner. Travel mode was the icing on the cake for me, because that is how I matched with my husband! Muzz provides Muslims from all demographics and backgrounds a really great platform to connect with their potential partner, and I would recommend 11/10! ♥️
