Thank you for this excellent app. Bought it after just one tryout. Playing on iPad Pro, this fulfils my desire to play Scrabble, a lot. Wish I had found it sooner. At first I thought there was too big a gap between Hard and Master, but then realised that by turning OFF the setting for favourable letters (I think the default was Medium), I get a better balanced game at either level. Then Customised the Board and a minor change in Letters. Now it’s just like true Scrabble and I’m Happy As. For over 20 years I have played Scrabble almost every day against computer (due to lack of a present & willing human opponent) 🙃 With the iPad I can play anytime, anywhere.

I recently completed 101 games on the free version of Word Master, and decided that it was way past time to support the developer with a purchase of the Pro version, even though you can play the free version without any restrictions. For the record, my score agains the app (on the Hard level) was 85 to 15 in my favor, with four Bingos. The one extra game was a draw. I am currently 49 games in at the Master level, of which I have won 24 (with five Bingos). I love the challenge of beating the app while learning many strange new words at the same time. I have a bunch of games on my iPad, but WM is the only game I play every day.

I’ve loved this game for years. Recommended it to anyone with an inclination to word play and ofttimes been a bedtime salve to settle my mind after a busy day. Then in Jan 23 updated it when I got a new (I)phone. Now a game centre login fills the screen whenever I try to open the app. I’m invited to go through the login process for Game Centre, and there IS NO CANCEL OPTION. I’ve never used game centre (prefer real people) and don’t want to join now. But more ominous, is that if I turn on airplane mode to bypass this, then on opening the app, I’m told I’m logged in as 165 fan9t9n70f, and there is an opening advert at the bottom of the screen. Thereafter it seems normal, but there is that nagging doubt that the app has been hacked and who wants to quarantine their device every time you play a game?
Best iPad/iPhone “scrabble” game

Love love love.Just like “scrabble”. You can play perfectly fine on the free version, which I did for about a month. Then purchased the paid version simply to hide the ads at the top of the screen which can be distracting sometimes, but they’re not too bad.Their are various boards, although I still prefer the original board and choose that option. Various levels - easy to master.Just great for the scrabble enthusiast or beginner!
