Insta360 GO 17+

The product (the camera) is genius & amazing & I’m really enjoying using it (please make an all black version)

And I’m totally in love with it, I just feel there are a few improvements that can be made

.... almost every photo app in the world swiping left or right means going forwards or backwards through the photos/videos. In this app for some stupid reason they decided to make it delete & favourite. So I have delete the videos ever single time I try to look at them. WHY????
It’s really really annoying

Also even though it’s called “go”. If you want to go in a hurry you won’t be. When you first open the app you have to sit through 2 welcome screens, 1 in Chinese so you don’t know what’s going on. Then you land on the explore page an Instagram style feed (I sooo don’t care about this feature & want to turn it off, it will also save mobile data) then when you click the camera button it STILL doesn’t open the camera but rather a tutorial page. Then you need to click to connect by Bluetooth to the camera & then select whether you want video, photo or timelapse. So after jumping though several hoops you can now “go”

So to the app makers.
1) remove the welcome screens
2) open directly to the camera option. As that’s what you need the fastest. Or simply have a main screen with 5 large buttons - video, photo, timelapse, edit, settings. & if you must the explore section as a sixth option. That way when the app opens I can jump to what I want with 1 step. Then when my option opens if I need to reconnect the Bluetooth the option is presented
3) When editing the videos the contrast slider is crazy. It jumps to almost completely black or completely washed out even if you have only moved the slider 1 or 2 stops on the slider.
4) as mentioned before. Don’t make swiping left or right delete or favourite. Make it like all other photo apps and be forward or backwards
5) move tutorials to the settings section like most of their apps. Because after I’ve used the app and camera for a while, I really don’t need to continue to be shown tutorials
6) make a widget like apps like Lightroom. So I can just swipe on my home screen to take a photo or video hyperlapse. Just 3 buttons in the widget is all that’s needed
7) need to be able to turn color plus on and off without having to export a video first. It should be a setting or in tune editing section
8) make it easier to turn the sound off on all clips
9) be able to save and apply editing presets to repaste onto other clips

Having said all that, it’s still one of the easiest and best simple video editing apps, but it could just be improved a bit to be as brilliant as the actual insta360 go camera.

As for the camera it’s almost perfect. But some improvements
1) all black option
2) frosted body (less slippery)
3) A bit more battery life (I know that’s hard for it’s size and weight)
4) completely waterproof not just slightly
5) improve the way the button functions or make the app quicker to use so it’s not needed if you are using the phone to control it.
6) improve the hat clip it’s loose
7) make the thread on the sticky tripod base metal so it doesn’t get easily threaded
8) some raised edges/protrusions so if you drop it, it doesn’t land on the lens

The Insta360 GO app is great and very intuitive. There are some instances where the app doesn’t recognise the charger case being connect to the phone, but other than that it works great. The Bluetooth control feature sometimes drops out but reconnects eventually.

Exported videos are always 1 frame per second. A 15 sec clips becomes several minute when exported. Can’t use the camera anymore due to this. Total loss of the camera.

This app has not been updated over a year, making my device unusable. Total loss of money. Due to this issue, the resale value has become zero
