Great recipes

I tried a few of the vitamins to help with my gut issues, I’m sure I have leaky gut. What I have found that works for me is detox Debloat , love the Vitality X Collagen for energy, skin and I can’t tell you how much it helps with my gut issues. It’s like a pre-workout for me too, I have it on an empty tummy, then have my coffee and banana 10 minutes later before I work out, loads of energy. I notice how low on energy I am if don’t take this daily. And I take the fish oil daily too. I’m keen to order the proteins next.
Then I got a free month for this App.
Love so many recipes on this site, I’m a salad lover and I love how the foods are so well balanced. The banana bread is my favorite afternoon snack with a green tea. And my mum is type two diabetic really enjoying these meals. After my trial I’m signing up!

First time impressions

The recipes are amazing and look delicious and nutritious! The things I found clunky with the app were:
When you add something to the shopping list unfortunately it doesn’t combine all your ingredients into one list - it’s just each recipe listed out again so you’d still have to write everything out to know what to buy
I would’ve liked it if the meal plan adjusted based on what you ate - ie if you’re having a high calorie/dense meal for breakfast then your options for lunch and dinner change to balance it out so you can make sure you’re getting enough of all the right things throughout the day
In the meal plan you can’t select a snack for AM or PM it just lists generic snacks so you can’t actually record what you’re actually eating... it’s the same with sweet/treats/dessert... it would be good if you could put in what you drink as well... at the moment you can only see what you had for breakfast/lunch/dinner
It would be nice if you could track what activities you were doing during the week as well - that’s where it fails in being an overall health and well-being tracker

Developer Response ,

Hi there! Thanks for your feedback. We are currently updating the App with new UX, better loading and performance and new sections! We are improving the shopping list and have our coding wizards working away to make it collate items!
We are improving our meal plan, but unfortunately the kind of meal plan you're looking for wouldn't suit our ethos as we are all about learning to listen to your own body and it's needs and teaching yourself to create what works for you. If we are too prescriptive it could be very detrimental as everybody has different nutritional and energy needs and vastly differing lifestyles.
Rest assured, all our recipes (450 and counting!) are designed by nutritionists and are nutritionally dense and balanced. The new meal plan will have recipes for your snacks and you can choose which ones you would like that week, instead of our suggested list.
The New update also includes a movement section where you can populate your daily plan with your movement choices! Stay tuned as it's only getting better and better! JSH Team x

First impression...not digging it.

It seems to have a lot of stuff on there but it also seems a bit generic. I wanted to use it to customise my daily meals and the shopping list. The shopping list just lists the individual recipes all over again with their ingredients. It doesn’t combine say three recipes worth of ingredients. If I need broccoli for three different recipes it doesn’t say 3 heads of broccoli . It says under each individual recipe 1 broccoli. Basically the shopping list is not a shopping list. It’s a list of recipes. You have to work out what you need in total of each ingredient yourself.

Daily meal plan I don’t find user friendly. You can favourite your meals elsewhere but then you can’t find those favourites once you are in the meal plan to add them. You can’t add a snack. It has a list of snacks, you can’t choose one to “customise” your meal planner.

Overall I find the app hard to navigate, there seems to be stuff everywhere, and the two main things I want to use make it seem easier if I just got a pen and paper and wrote my meal plan out and worked out my own shopping list without paying for this app.

Hi Christina,
Thanks for your feedback!
We are constantly working on improving our App and have our tech gurus working on a more sophisticated Shopping List and Meal Plan as we speak! The new Shopping List will sort your list with like products and combine ingredients from each recipe. The Meal Plan will have your favourites easily found and a clearer layout. Stay tuned as we are updating very soon with huge updates! It will definitely meet your needs. JSH Team xx
