My initial thoughts
Ease of use for beginner and results excellent, love how you can distinguish between portrait and landscape icons and variety of templates Love to see a few more portrait movies and the ability to keep named themes that can be edited to be more personable Been using it more now and like the more edit feature Would be great to keep stickers and be able to edit as appropriate ie change title Also perhaps use opening title but remove others Overall brilliant Dec 23 Would love to be able to remove some of the writing and Dji model at end of movie ie it says magic 3 I have a mini3 pro Jan 24 Still great for beginners easy to use at the change of each fall provide alternatives to North South hemispheres Once again change of fall accomodate is Tales of Autumn in Australia now
Great free adaptable editing software would like a few more templates with maybe 2- 4 clips over longer duration 30 - 50 secs as standard.
Great for a beginner!
I just downloaded the app this morning and have done pretty much no video editing before. In about 15 minutes using the one-tap edit I’ve made a short clip of an evening of my holiday with text and music, to share with my family. I would highly recommend for anyone like me who loves to film and photograph experiences but then doesn’t really know what to do with all that content
I love being able to use my iPad to edit, and accessing the footage from my Osmo Pocket 3 direct from the camera. The app is really intuitive and there’s so many extras!
If you can connect to the drone...
The app, with its various templates, is amazing, but only if you can manage to get the app to connect to your drone and download some footage.
It has taken me almost two hours to get just over one minute of footage downloaded to my phone. I'm not sure why a task as simple as transferring data from one network device (drone) to another network drive (phone) is proving to be so difficult for such a critical function, but at the moment, it is pretty much impossible to transfer data. I have seen a number of forum discussions all stating that the issue had been fixed by way of a software update. This has been done multiple times, tried on different devices, all fail at one point. So while I love the app design and features, I cannot give it a glowing recommendation. If the app connection issues are resolved, I may consider updating my review.
