Ratings and Reviews
If your looking for a simple but engaging ccg this is the game for you. With no internet requirement it’s great for on the go, and simple gameplay doesn’t require intense amounts of concentration. There’s a decent amount of content, and with four different decks themes you can explore several different pathways. It can feel a bit repetitive but it’s great to pick up every now and then to beat a few dungeons. I was so pumped to see the Primeval expansion and I hope the devs have more to come.
Good game with decent legs
Things can be a bit rough when you start the game, depending on the colour you choose. I started with green and couldn’t make it past first external dungeon (rats). Made a new black deck and everything was fine.
The game overall is great. Quite a bit of depth in how you can play, and building new decks and ramping up difficulty can keep you going way past the end of the campaign.
The main improvements I would like to see is in the variety of things like shops and forges. Once you’ve been playing for a while they have nothing for you. It would be good to be able to forge or buy some of the silver/gold cards in the random portal dungeons to keep things interesting.
Love the game mechanics but too hard
I love this kind of CCG dungeon crawler game and the mechanics are cool, but even on the easiest of easy level, with no penalties for dying, this game is too hard to make progress. At the very least, a player should be able to get some experience or even just a little gold for losing a duel so that they can get stronger. I lost twice to the training bad guy before I was able to win. And then after, I only managed to kill one other baddie before I got stuck trying over and over to kill a level 1 bad guy. If the devs could make it easier at the start (especially while you’re learning), I’d be all up for this :)
