Failing to find locations when searching destinations.

Although I find this app to be one of the better gps apps I find it disappointing with your decision to charge for an app that still has difficulty finding locations in Tasmania, Australia somewhat I have had many instances of typing an address or just a straight place-name and have the app do absolutely nothing when I select search or it decides that where I want to go is somewhere in the USA even when I include Tasmania in the request. I feel that your current decision to charge a fee for a gps app that fails to find destinations is rorting your users.

App talks when it’s not on

The app when driving works fine, however I’ve noticed after having it connected via Apple Car Play and NOT using it to navigate to a specific address, that within 15-30 minutes of getting out of the car, with the app not running in the background (apparently), the app voice comes on. For example it just told me there’s a speed camera ahead, while I’m sitting on my couch and the app isn’t on, not even in the background as I write this review. It’s done this several times now, if it’s not giving me a speed camera warning after the fact as described above, it’s telling me to watch my speed.

The app also seems to give a warning for speed cameras ahead while I’m on another road. For example I’m in a side street heading towards a main road, where a speed camera is located maybe 2km away on that main road, but the app will tell me 3 times in a row each warning no more then 5-10 seconds apart l, that there is a speed camera ahead. Highly annoying and slightly distracting if you’re in an unfamiliar area.

The Apple play GPS I ever wanted

Magic Earth is the best Apple Play GPS app for me so far. I recommend this app. It resembles my previous Tomtom XL GPS because it has convincing 3D view, point accuracy in direction and clear map graphics. It does not freeze during long operation and the audio assist is very clear. Road reporting is also straightforward and quick. However, as maybe only few drivers are using Magic Earth, I don’t get road reports. Sometimes I use the popular one (Wa..) because many road reports come in with it. I hope this app may become popular soon so many road reports will show up. It’s on me to SHARE this app to gain popularity. Thanks Magic Earth.
