The new update whilst only been live for 1 day is amazing, significant upgrade to what we have all been using for the last year or more. Thank you MG!!I have a request though, for everyone who purchased the MG at home charger, I was definitely expecting more functionality out of it. Can your next big upgrade include a button down the bottom of your new app called charger. Now this button would allow you to control everything about this charger, it would let you schedule times, it would let you schedule to use the excess solar (which it knows because you can easily link your solar data to the app). You can input the cheapest time of the day and get the charger to only charge at that time. This functionality would bring you up in line with the rest of the EV market. So please prioritize this.I would glad be your beta tester, so feel free to reach out!

Love the new redesign! Feels so much more modern and faster to use. Love being able to unlock my car when I forget my keys and activate the A/C on a hot day, or heater during winter. It’s also convenient to check my EV charging status and range, and being able to track my car by inbuilt GPS is really cool! Showing this to friends and family always impresses. Hopefully they can keep adding some more improvements, let me pair multiple accounts to the same car so I can share with family, show more info from the car like km range and add features like opening/closing the windows remotely and stream the 360 camera so I can remotely check in on the car. So much potential!

The question is, when the car is so good, is the app enough reason not to buy the car? Scheduled charging has never worked for us, even after having the MG support people out to the house who claimed that it did work. Even when following their instructions the language used in the app is confusing and the lack of confirmation that anything works, even real time charging, is incredibly frustrating. Given that the EV space is so competitive, and I believe there are really great apps for cars out there now, it seems unbelievable that MG are making such a poor effort on this front. I hope that they addressed this really soon now that I have committed to the car.
