Your Offline Files list will now be sorted from newest to oldest, as you'd expect. For those curious, this list was previously sorted on an internal database identifier - which while great for our internal database, had no place informing the file sort order.
The rename dialog would pop around unpredictably on the iPad. Giving an important file or folder a great name is already hard enough, so this annoying game of tag has been fixed.
The "Link Settings" menu failed to show up after tapping the "Save to Files" command in the Share menu. This has been fixed.
This wouldn't be possible without your feedback. If you run into any issues, please shake your device and tap "Report a Problem."

I have been using this app and OneDrive for a few years now and love it. OneDrive is my main drive to keep all my documents, so I can access all my things on my home PC, iPad and iPhone. The best feature I love is the ability to scan something from the iPhone camera and it uploads straight into any folder within OneDrive, this is handy for tax receipts. I also love how having an Office 365 subscription gives me 1TB of storage space.
For all the people complaining about the app not working properly, it’s not the app, it’s your phone, your phone is just like a computer program and sometimes files become damaged and need to be reinstalled. When in doubt, reinstall. I reinstall the ios software about every 6 months and I never get issues.
Doesn’t multitask well, PDF viewer needs work
I really want to like this. OneDrive is a good product. But the iOS app needs work. I like syncing my entirely library to my device. I can access my documents anywhere, anytime, annotate them, etc. But I multitask. And this app does not. Switch to another app, switch back again, and it’s either taken me to page 1 of a manuscript (“where was I again?”) or it’s taken me back to the root of my OneDrive libraries, and I have to find the file I was in in the depths of my folder structure again. It would almost be ok if “Recent” did what it was meant to, but more often than not, the PDF I was in doesn’t show up in the list, or at least not for a few days.
The “Apple Pencil” functionality in PDFs is “good” but not great. Often when I am in annotate mode, I use my finger to scroll up and down, then the pencil to annotate. Sometimes it thinks my finger is the pencil and so I scribble annotations while trying to scroll through the document. It also doesn’t take pressure-sensitive info from the pencil, which is a shame.
Finally, the PDF viewer should reflect the other top PDF viewers out there and allow me to use “single-page view” so that I can swipe SIDEWAYS through pages, like in a book, instead of vertically.
New update difficult...
The full screen notes are less user-friendly. Editing documents (highlighting, drawing, making notes) has been made more tedious (placing edit options at the top of page is good, but there aren’t all the options there anymore). Keep the edit options at the top as they are in the new update, but it would be much better if you restored everything else to how it was (it was amazing before)! You also can’t zoom in as much now, which makes handwriting less accurate. Can’t edit handwriting thickness or colour afterwards either so you have to draw, check to see if the thickness is right, change, draw again... can’t tap and hold to bring up edit options.. the 3 pages per row in zoomed out view means reading what’s on each page is difficult - 2 per row worked really well for trying to find what you are looking for. Also can’t crop pictures taken when inserting into the document.
Pretty much, the new layout is a good idea, but would be drastically improved if everything else in the previous version was still available.
But thanks for making a valuable app!
