New App My SmartBike, by MAHLE, provides you an enhanced e-bike riding experience by using your smartphone as the interface to your bicycle. Our application is designed to help tune, customize e-bike performance and enjoy your trips. Connect with your e-bike and adjust your preferences, customize motor maps to adapt the MAHLE SmartBike System to your personal necessities, remaining batteries, record your activities, have access to statistics, see bike location and more.
If you need detailed information and a dynamic experience, our web app (www.my-smartbike.com) enables you to analyze the routes in detail and graphically comparing data as elevation, health-related data and exclusive metrics from e-bikes, the tour on maps and share it through third platforms.

Connect quickly with a new e-bike or a previously connected e-bike card.
Tune your ride.
Configure motor maps of your e-bike, for each assistance level, to always get you the right level of power from your motor.
Be fun and start an activity.
Are you ready? Start an activity and you will see all the information you need like instant speed, level of assistance, remaining battery, time and distance…and more. Once finished, view extended information about your recorded activities directly on the App or through a web browser.

Know your Range Extender.
The new range extender screen now shows the battery status, battery consumption, range, and assistance information.

With the new functionality you can find the location where your electric bicycle was last seen.
Follow your heart.
You can now pair a heart rate band and activate the special assistance mode, where system assistance adapts automatically depending on your heart rate.

Upload automatically your ride to Strava.
Keep your privacy.
Protect your app with biometric authentication such as Face ID or fingerprint detection and also define your private areas (home, garage, office) to protect last mile information if you make your activity public.
Ride in dark mode with ease.
New app will automatically switch to dark mode to match your phones presets.

Quite an appropriate app’
Despite all the negative vibes this app’ is receiving, I find it quite OK to use. There is a couple of minor, for me, problems. 1. The app’ is heavy on smartphone battery and runs out of power, the phone that is, after around 50Km for my riding style. 2. When saving a ride the app’ is very sensitive to an accidental touch of the screen and consequently all ride data is lost. Luckily by being tied with Strava, the ride stats are not lost. Otherwise I find the app’ OK

Update makes it unusable
If you go from a ride before updating your app - it doesn’t work AT ALL. This is completely unacceptable for a gravel bike support app, where they know their customers are going out to regional places with no signal to ride This is an unbelievably unacceptable way of doing an updates
Edit: so the March 2023 update is adding a news feed??? Do we need ANOTHER social media app? You seriously prioritized THIS for development when you haven’t even replicated the basic functions of the old app yet? God grief! What kind of company let’s Marketing idiots lead development decisions?
