Description

NOTE:
This app requires a compatible security system and an interactive MyAlarm service plan to function.
Contact your MyAlarm Registered Installer to discuss service plans and options before purchasing the app.

DESCRIPTION:
The MyAlarm iFob Control app provides real time control and feedback of compatible, IP enabled alarm systems.

Users can arm and disarm areas, control outputs and doors, view system troubles and alarm system history as required.
Multiple sites are supported allowing easy interface to your home, office and holiday house etc if required, and all events performed via the app are recorded in the system history log for easy auditing. All user restrictions configured on the panel are enforced by the app meaning app users can only control areas and doors they have access to on the system. Selected MyAlarm service plans include the ability to report alarm events via push notification and email.

Each site can be configured for 10 iFob Control users and various app functions can be restricted by the system owner if required giving them total control.
If you are in doubt how to set these options contact your MyAlarm Registered Installer for assistance.

If you don't have a MyAlarm Registered Installer you can locate one in your area here https://www.myalarm.com.au/findInstaller

COMPATIBILITY:
The iFob app is currently only compatible with the panels listed below.
Most older version panels can be upgraded to meet the firmware requirements by your alarm installer.

Works but could be better

The App is functional and performs as intended. However, the UI is dated and could use some work. The zone list should display all zones in a scrollable list on just one page rather than having to change page views to see more zones. Siri shortcut integration would also be great for checking area status, output control and arming/disarming.

Great app!

Appearance looks a little outdated, and the layout is broken on iPhone 11 Pro Max (although is perfectly fine on the smaller non-max). But overall, it still works very well and I will happily pay for a subscription once my 1 month trial ends. Notifications are descriptive, the confirmation sounds/voices are handy, and communication is very responsive with my alarm over it’s GSM connection, despite my area having poor mobile reception.

To the developer: Please add Siri Shortcut support in the next update. I use this currently with the SMS Control app, but I’d like to ditch it and just use the iFob Control app.

No support

Be warned, this system relies on you getting service from the installer, and can you imaging them returning your call 12 months later. I cant get a return call and the app company don’t care. Find another installer is the answer from them, but to do that they need to come on site and re Programer it under there account, and yes they charge for that. You need to have control and not be stuck using an installer who may not be around tomorrow. Very poor help from the developer. I have now changed to Risco I have control to add it to different devices and don’t get disconnected each year.

Developer Response ,

Hi Cmikgo,

We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your experience.
As the app developer we can assure you that we take customer and installer support very seriously.

As stated in the app requirements, an ongoing service plan with your installer is required to use the MyAlarm Interactive Services.
In your case it appears the relationship with your installer has broken down and therefore we would recommended that you contact another installer to support your future security needs.

If you require assistance locating a new installer please contact our support department and they will be happy to assist.

Kind regards

MyAlarm Support Team
