Description
The myAssessor app enables My Aged Care assessors to undertake assessments where they do not have access to the internet.
The myAssessor app allows assessors to prepare for assessments by downloading client assessment referrals (whilst connected to the internet) to their supported mobile device before they visit clients. The app gives assessors access to the information they need when no network connection is available.
The app allows functionality from the My Aged Care assessor portal to be available on the mobile device, allowing the assessor to capture important client details, perform an assessment using an electronic version of the National Screening and Assessment Form (NSAF) and create a preliminary Support Plan.
Once the assessor has internet connectivity to access the assessor portal, the assessor can upload the information captured during the assessment. The assessor can then use the decision support capability of the assessor portal to verify the client’s eligibility for services and the actions they recommended in the Support Plan. If there are no changes to the Support Plan/recommended services, the assessor can proceed to match the client to appropriate aged care services and make referrals for service(s), as necessary.
The myAssessor app also enables assessors to conduct unplanned assessments. The myAssessor app allows assessors to create a new client record and perform an assessment for an unregistered client. Assessors can then link the assessment to the client record at a later point in time, following registration.

Contemptuous of Assessors
The entire online process for assessors is still an impractical mishmash of illogical process, glitches and nonsensical pathways and duplication of effort which makes no account of the professional skills of the Assessors. Designers of this program have clearly had little contact with a real assessment and little idea of what is acceptable in the field. To have to spend over two hours navigating an illogical maze to enter information (much of which is variably relevant) gathered in a 45 minute assessment is absurd.
Constant upgrades indicate that this started as a broken system; the fact that upgrades invariably create new glitches show that it can’t be fixed without huge waste and expenditure. Is it no wonder Health Record is being rejected if this is the standard created by our nerds?
Always failing
Use this app for work purposes and it is always crashing, or ‘failing to connect to My Aged Care server gateways’. Very frustrating.

I have nothing to add that was not said by rich33280 in their review 2 YEARS AGO! While the app may work and has some deficits in function - the whole of the assessor portal and links is ridiculous, a waste of time and I cannot believe in 2021 that we are having to use this clunky, time wasting platform. The repetition in the NSAF and the poor pre-population leaves me doubting the team that developed it had any kind of clue. Very sad that this is what we have to deal with while being measured against growing KPI’s that will result in time wasting, money wasting practices that in the end only affect older Australians as this rubbish means less money for funding the care they need. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
